LTTE: Repeat/Delete offensive
I'm writing you in regard to the comic series you have in the Collegian, Repeat/Delete. Almost every day I pick up a Collegian while I'm going to class and almost every time I find myself horribly offended at the jokes portrayed in the comic. Though the author may see it as just that, a joke, it tells stories that involve sexism, rape and an overall disregard for women.

This past November, California voters passed an amendment, Proposition 8, to their state constitution that defines marriage, saying, "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." Now, a series of lawsuits have been filed in California courts to argue that the amendment passed by the people should be overturned.
Our View - Yes to stem cell research funding
Monday, President Obama issued an executive order reversing former President Bush's restrictions on funding to embryonic stem cell research, pledging that his administration will "make scientific decisions based on facts, not ideology." Embryonic stem cells are non-differentiated cells that have the potential to become any one of 200 types of cells in the human body, from the cells in your liver all the way up to your brain.
