Currently the Associated Students of CSU president sits in all of the CSU System Board of the Governors meetings, hearing major decisions being made about the university. However, the ASCSU president legally has to keep many of the topics discussed in the meetings completely confidential -- he cannot even discuss these issues with his vice-president.

Just two weeks following the sudden resignation of former CSU President Larry Penley, students and faculty are beginning to get a picture of what the university will look like, at least for the next few months, under the leadership of Interim President Tony Frank.

In a message sent to the CSU community on Friday, Interim President Tony Frank outlined his future plans and goals for the university, which included a commitment to "improved communication and open, collaborative decision making." He also announced the elimination of several central administrative positions, freeing up about $500,000 in funds formerly tied up in administrative salaries.
