The Democratic National Convention in Denver and last week's Republican National Convention in Minneapolis have dominated the news over the past two weeks. Given the visibility and excitement surrounding the upcoming presidential election, the Collegian set out to find out what students think about the upcoming election.

Annually the U.S. president delivers a State of the Union Address, and in the states, governors do the same. Sometimes by law, sometimes by tradition, sometimes to promote policy or just themselves, mayors, commissioners and chancellors do it too. Often the addresses are ghost written, and the ghosts most generally try to capture what the "author" really thinks and would like to say.

Yay to the football team for delivering a win this weekend. We can only hope this will be a pattern this year. Yay to New Belgium's Tour de Fat. If there is something more fun than drinking, dressing up like a crazy person and biking around Fort Collins, we haven't found it yet.
