Our View: Fort Collins should buy local
By
The importance of buying local is something that environmentalists, social activists and grassroots interest groups all agree stimulates the economy and encourages community participation. The only people who say markets should be more focused globally are professional economists.
Watch out for rising fees

Next year, our tuition will increase. University administration has indicated that the most likely hit will be about 9.5 percent, or $384 per semester. On top at that, expect to see an increase of $35 per semester in student fees. Fees are add-ons to your regular tuition bill - they pay for everything from Hartshorn Health Center to the Recreation Center to CTV to student government.
Youths ruin system by using right to vote

(U-Wire)- Kids, go ahead and waste your youth, but leave the electoral process out of it. For years, the youth of America were satisfied with their music videos and their caffeinated soft drinks. Politics never made it to the roundtable discussions amidst rounds of Mario Kart.
Props for Storelli-Casto's column
By
I just wanted to say that I have greatly enjoyed reading Luci Storelli-Castro's column for the last year. It was excellent to see a more intellectual and worldly oriented piece than most of what else is in the Collegian. I greatly enjoyed learning about Ghana even before I realized that I would end up traveling there this summer.
Ram Talk
To the person who thinks the free prayer couches are free with faith, see thats where they get you, it all comes out of our student fees. So why is it that the campus is more alive during "dead week" than any other time of the year? Ha! Studying? That's for people that WANT to get an A! Does anyone else agree with me that the Stress Less packs ASAP is handing out should have some Adderall in there? My composition class smells like bacon and dog food, and I can hear the sounds of pigs screaming during lecture.
