Alternative Spring Break memorable for students

While many students traveled or relaxed this spring break, a handful of students chose to participate in Alternative Spring Break programs, spending their time helping communities in need. CSU organizes 16 community service-based trips each year in which students travel and volunteer.

Kloppe and Rams return to series play at UNC

After spending spring break playing in tournaments, the CSU softball team will return to series play with a double header Saturday. The Rams (17-11) face the Northern Colorado Bears (7-28) at noon in Greeley. One of the players taking the field Saturday will be senior first baseman and Fort Collins native Julia Kloppe, who leads the conference in batting with players with at least 50 at bats with a .
Tennis struggles to start conference play

The CSU women's tennis team opened conference play this weekend, losing a pair of matches in Fort Worth, Texas. The Rams were defeated by No. 22 Texas Christian 7-0 Friday and by No. 53 New Mexico 6-1 Saturday. No. 3 singles player Lauren Strasburger picked up the only victory for the Rams, beating New Mexico's Lucy Scott in a tiebreaker 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (8).
