Our View: Congrats to the CSU Jewish community
The university's 3-year-old Chabad organization has spent the entirety of its existence fighting with the City of Fort Collins and the university for bits and pieces of recognition and Friday night they got anther one. After a month of toil and argument with Lory Student Center Dining Services, Rabbi Yerachmeil Gorelik finally convinced them to allow him and Jewish students to kosher the LSC kitchen for the first time in CSU history.

Why you should care about the recession

As the American economy falls into recession, it has become a prime topic of news programs and presidential debates. However, the health of the economy is not an issue that normally causes much concern among college students.Unfortunately, the recession is causing economic problems to trickle down from the business world onto our campus.
Letters to the editor
In response to Wednesday's Our View titled, "Never forget Holocaust lessons," I first want to thank you. The atrocities of that time should never be forgotten, and we should help to ensure that they aren't. They were real horrors happening to real people and could have been stopped except for the "inaction of otherwise good people, who stood by while their leaders and countrymen carried out these atrocities.

As the current Student Body President, I can't start wars or send people to the moon, but I can assure you that the Associated Students of CSU impacts every student in one way or another. Consider some of our more noteworthy accomplishments. Some have their 15 minutes of fame; I have had several 15 seconds of fame in the last couple of weeks. It seems that my story about my student-friend Kate from my column two weeks ago caught the attention of several people, some of whom were nice enough to tell me that they enjoyed the piece.

Yays and Nays
Nay| to daylight savings time. Sure, we get an hour more of sunlight in the evening during springtime, but at what cost? yay | to spring break next week.
