With several "green" initiatives already in play, CSU aims to foster an environmentally conscious student body. Don't believe it? Just ask the dishes. Select Lory Student Center dining vendors, such as Bagel Place, at the start of semester began carrying green-friendly cutlery and straws made of biodegradable cornstarch rather than petroleum-based plastic.

Foskin remembered for commitment to art

Keith Foskin, accomplished artist, CSU employee and loving friend, died Sunday, Feb. 3 from a heart attack. He was 51 years old. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Foskin spent his childhood with his twin brother, Kevin Foskin. Hoping to pursue a degree in art, he found home in Fort Collins at CSU in the mid-1970s.

Student governments rally for cheaper textbooks

Student governments from colleges across Colorado teamed up at the capital Thursday to lobby state lawmakers to pass legislation to inject transparency into the textbook industry, which some student activists call a "broken market." The bill passed the Senate committee after the rally and is now the Senate House.
