Hodi's Half Note celebrates one year of music

Hodi's Half Note celebrates one year of music

By Chris Galis

A few years ago the Fort Collins music community experienced a lull. With the closing of the Starlight (now Hodi's Half Note), the Mishawaka Amphitheater, and Connor O'Neils, local bands were left with idle hands. But things are starting to turn around. It is no mishap that the conception of the Fort Collins Musicians Association (FCMA) and the anniversary of Hodi's Half Note have coincided with a communal sign of relief from local musicians.

CD Review: Lenny Kravitz's "It is Time for a Love Revolution"

Kravitz gets old

By Nick Scheidies

Intro: Lenny Kravitz demands respect. At 43, Kravitz has won four Grammys, repeatedly topped the charts and even starred in a series of commercials for The Gap. So why is his eighth studio album, "It is Time for a Love Revolution" such a misguided mess? Pros: It isn't all bad.

By Matt L. Stephens

Sloppy is an adjective defined in the dictionary as: "Marked by a lack of neatness or order; untidy." And sloppy is exactly how the CSU women's basketball team played against New Mexico Wednesday night at Moby Arena on their way to a 12-consecutive loss, 74-47.

Fairchild announces first class Wednesday

By Jeff Dillon

College football recruiting is always a race against the clock. But for the new CSU staff, this year was a sprint. Steve Fairchild, hired in December after the firing of Sonny Lubick, had just weeks to put together his first recruiting class, as opposed to the months it typically takes most college coaches.
