Following an hour and a half of heated debate, the Faculty Council voted 27 to 23 in favor of striking C-, D+ and D- from all programs at the university. The reason for the proposal was to ease consistency woes between different sections of classes. In the old system, two students taking the same class in different sections who earn the same percentage might end up with different GPAs.
Musket sparks fear in Clark

CSUPD officers paced the halls of the Clark Building Tuesday morning after receiving a report of a gunman entering the building's C wing. Officers quickly determined that the situation was a false alarm, identifying the "gunman" as associate history professor Robert Gudmestad, who had entered the building with an antique musket rifle.

Zeta advocates for breast cancer awareness

Zeta, a sorority back to campus this year, hosted their Think Pink Dessert Party to fight breast cancer. And everyone there was thinking pink. Every dime raised from the $6 admission fees will go to the association of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. "We want to get Greek involvement and CSU involvement to help in our cause," Pilcer said, a junior and speech communications major.
Fire causes scare in new Academic Village

A fire in CSU's new Academic Village caused a scare early Wednesday morning as construction workers were just reporting to work. At 6:24 a.m., an electrician working at the construction site of the New Dining Commons at 800 W. Pitkin Street reported a fire on the roof, said Patrick Love, a Poudre Fire Authority spokesperson.
