BSC to decide on editoral

After a four-word editorial that read "Taser this… F*** Bush" made national headlines and prompted some CSU students to demand his resignation, Collegian Editor in Chief J. David McSwane will find out if he gets to keep his job tonight. The Board of Student Communications (BSC) will hold a formal hearing for McSwane to discuss complaints issued against him in regards to the controversial Collegian editorial published September 21.

Local artist influenced by beauty of everyday objects

A local artist has abandoned the typical brush-to-canvass technique for his most recent paintings by incorporating burlap bags, typically used to carry potatoes and coffee beans, and old window frames into his artwork.
Taylor Gallegos, a CSU alumnus, brings in influences from his everyday life into his work currently on display at the Cups Coffee Shop.
"Everything I experience in my life goes into my artwork," Gallegos said.
Diversity Conference still looking for participants

The 7th annual Diversity Conference at CSU came to a close last week, and now the university has time to reflect on the successes and the letdowns of the three-day event. The conference focused on national and global dimensions and included two days of presentations, keynote speakers and university dialogues regarding global issues and diversity.
Aylesworth evacuated after steam pipe cut

The center lobby section of Aylesworth was evacuated Thursday after a steam pipe was found cut at about 9 a.m. when the heat was turned on. Contractors cut the line earlier this summer when they were installing air-handling units, which circulate air through the building.
Collegian editor press conference CANCELLED
Collegian Editor in Chief J. David McSwane has cancelled his press conference set for Thursday at 9 p.m. McSwane does not want to pressure the Board of Student Communications into speeding up their deliberation process.
