A green-shirted volunteer looked down at a list to see who was next to climb in the Neptune Mountaineering Horsetooth Hang Saturday.
"Hunter," said the volunteer, calling the next rock climber. "She's addicted. This problem is like crack."
Hunter Schumaker, 13, from the Estes Climbing Team started on the left end and seized hold of her first crimp. She slowly worked her way toward the right following the white chalk smears across the red-grained rock.
"Come on Hunter. Let's go Hunter," said the crowd.

DENVER (AP) _ At least 16 witnesses to crimes have been killed in Colorado since the creation of a fund to help protect people like them. An investigation by The Denver Post has found that the 12-year-old program isn't very organized and that many witnesses and even some members of law enforcement don't know that it's available.

Colorado student orgs follow suit

In light of skyrocketing textbook costs, Colorado student organizations are following suit in a nation-wide legislative effort to lighten the load textbooks impose on students' wallets. The Associated Students of CSU (ASCSU) and the Associated Students of Colorado (ASC) began a campaign this semester directed at state lawmakers pushing legislation requiring textbook publishers to make textbook information transparent to teachers and students.
