Kubiak to miss Saturday's game

Klint Kubiak's trip back to his birthplace went about as poorly as possible. The junior safety collapsed and was taken to the hospital shortly before kickoff in the Rams' 38-27 loss at Houston Saturday. According to a team press release, tests revealed Kubiak had suffered an ulcer, causing "minor internal bleeding.

Cutting human vertebrae into 1 millimeter slices with a very precise diamond-bladed band saw is just another day in the life of biomedical researchers Dan Woldtvedt and Wes Womack.
Woldtvedt, a junior mechanical engineering and biomedical science double major, collaborated with Womack, a doctoral student researching spinal biomechanics, to research the flexibility of the human spine and the impacts that affect it.Their work won Woldtvedt the 2007 Biomedical Engineering Society Undergraduate Research and Design Award.
Tuition price cuts for students who graduate on time

Four years has long stood as the traditional time spent during a student's college career, from orientation to graduation. And, CSU students, on average, tend to graduate within those four years closer than neighboring universities. While this is far from the case at regional universities, CSU-Pueblo has cooked up an offering to encourage its students to graduate earlier, using a tuition discount as an incentive.
Greeks celebrate National Hazing Awareness week

"Greek" is a new drama series that runs on the ABC family network addressing the hazing interested Greek members could see if they are qualified to be in a sorority or fraternity. Unlike the fictional stories of television, Greek life at CSU is not about hazing and pushing students to their limit to see if they are fit for a certain house.
National legislation proposed to lower textbook cost
Colorado student orgs follow suit

In light of skyrocketing textbook costs, Colorado student organizations are following suit in a nation-wide legislative effort to lighten the load textbooks impose on student wallets. The Associated Students of CSU (ASCSU) and the Associated Students of Colorado (ASC) began a letter-writing campaign this semester directed at state lawmakers pushing legislation requiring textbook to make textbook information transparent teachers and students.

David McSwane. McSwane will be brought before the Board of Student Communications on Wednesday, 7:00 pm, in the Plant Science building, room C101.

CBS4 (KCNC-TV) reported Tuesday night that I am bringing a lawsuit against Colorado State University. This is grossly inaccurate. I was not interviewed by CBS4 for this report. Neither the university nor Student Media have punished the Editorial Board or myself for printing the F-Bush editorial.

Residents and rescue workers were taken by surprise when one of the largest rainstorms in state history caused Spring Creek to overflow, creating a flash flood that engulfed much of the city and the heart of the CSU campus.

If kindness could be measured in dollars and cents, a few hours of service might seem like pocket change to those who sacrificed the semester's first Saturday afternoon as part of CSU's RamServe. But coordinators estimate the 460 student and community volunteers provided about $25,000 in community service over the course of only three hours.
