After a Friday editorial on page four in the Collegian that said "Taser this … F---BUSH" sparked national uproar and controversy regarding free speech, Editor in Chief J. David McSwane will go before CSU's Board of Student Communications (BSC) Tuesday to defend his job.The expletive was spelled out about twice the size of a headline.
Tour de Fat breaks records [VIDEO]

As the 2007 Tour de Fat kicked off Saturday morning the streets were filled with fun-seeking bikers looking to spend a day in wild costumes and riding through Fort Collins accompanied by thousands of their fellow enthusiasts. And this year boasted more participants than ever before.
About 4800 people participated in the bike tour around the city and approximately 3800 returned to New Belgium to be officially counted, New Belgium spokesperson Chris Winn, also known as the Reverend C. Ballyhoo, said. The previous year's count was approximately 2,000 people.
Diversity conference kicks off

For the seventh year in a row, CSU will be "diversifying" itself at the annual Diversity Conference. Entitled "Diversity in the 21st Century: National and Global Dimensions," the conference boasts several prominent keynote speakers and sessions throughout this week, starting on Tuesday.

It's been a decade since violent waters ripped through Fort Collins, buffeting buildings, lifting up cars and claiming the lives of five people. Residents and rescue workers were taken by surprise when one of the largest rainstorms in state history caused Spring Creek to overflow, creating a flash flood that engulfed much of the city and the heart of the CSU campus.
RamServe breaks volunteer record [VIDEO]

If kindness could be measured in dollars and cents, a few hours of service might seem like pocket change to those who sacrificed the semester's first Saturday afternoon as part of CSU's RamServe. But coordinators estimate the 460 student and community volunteers provided about $25,000 in community service over the course of only three hours.
Public BSC meeting rescheduled
The public Board of Student Communication meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday 9/26 at 7PM in the Plant Science building room C101.
