"I am an American"

Let me ask you a question: Do we live in the greatest country in the world? To me, the answer is an emphatic YES! Although small adjustments need to be made from time to time, the United States is the greatest country in the world. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that there is no other country on earth I would rather pledge my allegiance to.
LTTE: Comment on "CSU Observes Holocaust Week"
It irks me to see Holocaust remembrance solely remembering the Jewish dead. Yes they were the largest group targeted, but they don't make up half the number of dead, especially when the figures for the number of Jewish dead include those killed in the ghettos and shootings and those of other targeted groups include only those killed in the camps.
LTTE: Storelli-Castro's column lacking logic
In Luci Storelli-Castro's last column she expressed dismay in the current legislation that will protect individuals whom have been assaulted from law suits, filed by their assailants or their families, for defending them self's. I fail to see any logic against this bill other presented by Ms.
LTTE: Misinformation in "Dreadful Comeback" article
This letter is in response to the Feb. 22, 2007, article by Jen Cintora entitled "Dreadful Comeback." While the majority of her article was of the caliber expected of the Collegian, one particular point stood out as being particularly ill-informed. In the sidebar "Misconceptions…" the fifth point states: "It is a popular misconception that Rastafarians originated dreadlocks.
Our View: Genocides are still happening

These facts may appear to be from past genocides like those seen in the Holocaust, Rwanda, or Armenia. Unfortunately, these situations describe a crisis that is currently going on in our world today.
RamTalk
A&M Records has announced that they are in search of a new lyricist for Fergie. Executives ask that applicants be able to spell out single words ending in 'ous' repeatedly and to not desecrate the fine art of wasted syllables. I don't understand how with so many qualified staff members, classrooms packed with learning minds and an infinite amount of information packed in school archives, no one knows why it is so darn hot on the third floor of the library.
Did you say midterm?
By
(U-WIRE) NORMAL, Ill. - Midterms are upon us, already. Sheesh. It's like time started speeding up once I came to college. Being an English major I think has got to be the hardest when it comes to midterms and finals. Don't get me wrong I am in love with my major, but it's no picnic.
Movie could make Gore electable

(U-WIRE) KENT, Ohio - there's one thing I've learned about the American public, it's that a movie can influence just about anything. Most of the time, the big screen leaves its mark on fashion or music, but on occasion, it expands its area of impact. And in the most extreme cases, it can even affect politics.
