Student government approves 116.34 fee increase

The Associated Students of CSU Senate approved the Long Bill, a comprehensive student package fee for next year, late Wednesday night, which could increase student fees by $116.34 for each full time, on-campus student for the fall and spring semester. Dan Gearhart, president of ASCSU, assured the Senate that the Student Fee Review Board made an educated decision while evaluating each increase presented to the review board.

CSU connects students with Haiti conditions

In an effort to help students educate themselves and connect with other concerned students around them, Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement is hosting an information meeting about Haiti today to help coordinate relief efforts. Jen Johnson, assistant director of SLiCE, said the meeting is aimed at helping students learn more about the previous conditions in Haiti, connecting students with others who are interested in the issue and helping channel students’ efforts so they can make the biggest positive impact. “We have had a lot of students walking into the SLiCE Office, looking for ways to contribute and to get involved,” Johnson said.
