Six former Rams heading to the NFL
The National Football League turned a little more green and gold this weekend. The 2010 NFL Draft came and went Thursday, Friday and Saturday placing six former CSU Rams with NFL teams in the process, one by draft and five by free agency. Carter fights for starting job at running back
While a disappointing 2009 season was hard for most members of the CSU Rams football team, it was just a little harder for Raymond Carter. Carter, a running back, had to sit out the entire season last year due to NCAA transfer rules and could only watch as his teammates lost nine straight games to end the season en route to a 3-9 record. Rams receivers fix their passing game
Different coach, different starters and hopefully a different result for the CSU Rams wide receivers. The Rams are looking to rebound after a disappointing showing from their wide outs last season and are depending on some new faces to help. First spring football practice
One down, 14 to go. The CSU Rams completed their first spring practice of the season Thursday afternoon, working for nearly two and a half hours on a freshly plowed practice field directly south of Moby Arena. Rams head coach Steve Fairchild said he was generally pleased with the practice, but admitted there was clearly some rust that needed to be shaken off. “Every first practice you have to work some kinks out,” the third year CSU head coach said. Colorado State basketball season a step in the right direction
Improvement is good, but it’s not been quite good enough for the CSU men’s basketball team. Less than a week removed from a difficult 74-60 loss to Morehead State and an early exit from the College Basketball Invitational, Rams head coach Tim Miles said he considers the 2009-2010 season a success, but still desires more. Rams lose heartbreaker in MWC tournament 72-71
