Signing day live chat; chance to chat with coach Jim McElwain

It’s a big week for CSU football and new coach Jim McElwain.

Wednesday is National Signing Day for high school football players and McElwain will be announcing his first recruiting class.

And we’ll have you covered. McElwain is holding a press conference at 1 p.m. and we will have a live chat at Collegian.com as the new Rams are named.

The chat will go live around 12:45, so tune in and give us your thoughts on what these players will bring to the “Bold New Era.”

On another note, Thursday night students will get a chance to take part in a Q & A with McElwain.

The student-only session on Feb. 2 will take place inside the Indoor Practice Facility starting at 5 p.m.

The event is free and the first 150 students will receive vouchers for free food from Famous Dave’s.

Doors open at 4:45. A valid student ID is required for admittance.

Students should enter at the lobby at the northwest entrance to the building.
