Today marks February’s First Friday Gallery Walk, a self-guided tour of art galleries in Old Town held the first Friday of every month from 6 to 9 p.m.

Participants in this month’s gallery walk include the Colorado Coalition of Artists (CoCOA), Art Tab, Art on Mountain Fine Art Gallery, Bas Bleu Theatre Company, Canyon Spirit Gallery, Centennial Galleries, the Center for Fine Art Photography and more.

The Fine Art and Frame Company is putting on a free glass workshop from 6 to 8 p.m., led by Kathi Dougherty, and is also featuring local artist Laura Guese who uses gouche, oil and oil-bar on canvas to paint the “emotional and beautiful universal landscape” and “(captivate) the few seconds when the sky becomes full of infinite color and energy,” according to the Fine Art and Frame Company’s website.

“In my work, I am passionate about creating these passing moments in a more lasting and emotional manner,” Guese said.
