Bas Bleu’s production of “Trying” opens this weekend, including a “pay-what-you-can” preview tonight at 7:30 p.m.
When a young woman off the Canadian prairie, Sarah Schorr (Lorraine Larocque), and an aging but rigid aristocratic Judge Francis Biddle (Jonathan Farwell) meet, the generation gap makes for a compelling story about human relationships, not to mention a significant period in American history.
The play was based on the life of the writer, Joanna McClelland Glass.
“All good drama is based on relationships,” said director Deb Note-Farwell, “and when it’s pulled from truth, it makes for stronger storytelling.”
