Colorado State student dies on Jan. 20 of medical anomaly

Jacob Isaac Walker, a student at CSU, died on Jan. 20 of a medical anomaly. He was 20 years old.

Walker was born in Colorado Springs on Feb. 23, 1991, according to his obituary in the Colorado Springs Gazette, and graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 2009.

He was an avid hockey and lacrosse player, according to the obituary, and was planning on becoming a firefighter.

In lieu of flowers, the obituary states, the family requests contributions to the St. George’s Anglican Church garden in memory of Walker.

Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church, 217 East Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs, Colo.
