Democrats sell out on new surviellance law
Abstract:
Americans are going to have to start watching what they say on the telephone. Again.
On July 9, the Senate approved an overhaul of the federal government's surveillance powers which will dramatically expand the executive branch's ability to spy on individuals at home and abroad that it suspects have involvement with terrorism....

Here's a little news for you Kelly: Congress itself has a 99% disapproval rating.
The latest poll results show that this new Democrat Congress' approval rating now stands at just 9%. They make George Bush look positively popular by comparison.
Have no fear, the Fourth Amendment is alive and well as far as ordinary run of the mill domestic crime goes. The courts are still throwing out cases right and left due to the usual 4th Amendment violations (failure to read Miranda rights, etc.)
You state that the entire Congress, including Barak Obama, are being blackmailed? My you have a vivid imagination.
You notice the Constitutional Law attorneys around the country aren't getting hysterical about our supposedly disappearing rights. That's because it isn't happening.
Like the man said, you only have something to worry about if you have Al Quaeda on speed-dial.

Another Bullshit Argument. If you have nothing to hide, go naked. You are wrong. You are living in a FauxNews Dream World. You probably think that Congress-Dems and Repubs-didn't abolish the Great Writ of Habeas Corpus with their UNCONSTITUTIONAL vote on the Military Commissions Act of 2006...You probably have no idea what habeas corpus is...It is the 13th century right to challenge your detention! And our US Constitution was founded on it. You want proof??? The fascist leaning US Supreme Court REINSTATED HABEAS CORPUS on June 12. The only thing I can suggest is you stop watching FauxNews, and watch Countdown with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC. The news is, for the most part, cancelled due to corporate consolidation. However, the former Sposts Jock manages to get the truth out. Google Jonathan Turley. He is a Constitutional Law Professor at Georgetown. There are many, many concerned constitutional law scholars. You would have to pull your head out of your ass to know about them though. Good luck with that.

Whoops, that was a typo. Congress only actually has a 91% "disapproval rating", not 99%.
Same difference, but it's important to be as honest as possible.

Love the sarcasm. You are held hostage by your fear. The warrentless wiretapping was occuring many months before 9/11 and it didn't stop the attacks...In fact, whatever you believe about 9/11, it was the modern day Reichstag. But just sit there and be afraid while the constituion continues to get shredded. You are a true patriot...
Bipartisan Disdain of Congress
posted 7/18/08 @ 2:57 PM MST
Good that you fix your math error. Now we just need to tweak the disapproval ratings into the realm of the actual.
A Quinnipiac University poll taken July 8-13 found that a scant 14 percent of likely voters approved of the way Congress is handling its job. That percentage is below the 26 percent who approved of President Bush's performance.
The disdain of Congress had a bipartisan tinge. The approval rating among Democrats was 19 percent, compared with 15 percent among Republicans and 8 percent among independents.

To support the other poster's remarks about the entire Congress being blackmailed.
- McCain is being blackmailed for what he did and didn't do while a POW. Plus he was Keating Five and lots of flip-flops.
- Obama probably is being blackmailed for reports of cocaine induced gay sex.
If you aren't seeing Constitutional Law attorneys around the country getting hysterical about our disappearing rights, you've got your blinders on and aren't looking. The FISA Court scandal, Guantanamo, USA PATRIOT ACT, US Military Commission Act lead the list.
The issue isn't having bin Laden on speed-dial. The issue is having an opposition leader on speed-dial, or someone on speed-dial who for whatever reason the reigning corporation-appointed King on a whim deemed unworthy or an "enemy combatant".
You should be concerned. Once the Democrats sweep into office, your having Karl Rove and Dick Cheney on speed-dial may become an issue.
"Making Americans Unsafe" by Paul Craig Roberts
The Bush Regime's "terrorist" protection schemes have reached the height of total incompetence and utter absurdity. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, a private organization that defends the US Constitution that inattentive Americans neglect, there are now one million names on the "terrorist" watch list.
One of them is that of former Assistant US Attorney General Jim Robinson, whose top security clearances are current. Every time Mr. Robinson flies away on business, he is delayed by a totally incompetent "terrorist" protection racket that cannot tell a person named Jim Robinson, who served in the highest echelons of the US government, from a Muslim terrorist.
What confidence can we have in a regime that is incapable of differentiating an Assistant US Attorney General from a terrorist?
Mr. Robinson said: "If I were convinced that America is a safer place because I get hassled at the airport, I might put up with it, but I doubt it. I expect my story is similar to hundreds of thousands of people who are on this list and find themselves inconvenienced."
"Hundreds of thousands of people" on a watch list that they have no business being on?
Yes. "Members of Congress, nuns, war heroes and other 'suspicious characters,' with names like Robert Johnson and Gary Smith, have become trapped in the Kafkaesque clutches of this list, with little hope of escape," said Caroline Fredrickson, director of the ACLU Washington Legislative Office.
And this is America, not Nazi Germany?
How can Airport "Security" possibly protect anyone when the idiots cannot differentiate a high-level American government official from a terrorist?
Do you really believe there are one million terrorists and nothing has blown up in the US since September 11, 2001 (assuming you believe the government's account of that episode)?
How can there possibly be 1,000,000 terrorists and America still be in one piece? If there were 1,000,000 terrorists, America would be in ruins. According to the Bush Regime's line, it only took a handful of terrorists to destroy America's tallest skyscrapers and a section of the Pentagon and to send the President of the United States scurrying to a hiding place.
One million terrorists could bring America to its knees, and they wouldn't need to fly on airplanes to accomplish this.
What we are witnessing with the one million person "watch list" is bureaucracy run amok. One Million Terrorists makes the danger seem overwhelming. Such overwhelming danger rationalizes the aggressive behavior of the bullies and thugs attracted by the power of confiscating your toothpaste and bottled water and riffling your belongings in your luggage.
* Show your ID.
* Take off your shoes.
* Take off your belt.
* Take off your jacket.
* Empty your pockets.
Don't complain about being searched without a warrant or you will miss your flight. You might be arrested, handcuffed, kicked and otherwise abused – the fate of many American citizens.
The morons who comprise the US government call the "watch list" one of the government's "most effective tools in the fight against terrorism."
What an effective tool it is! It cannot tell the difference between Jim Robinson and a Muslim terrorist.
The "watch list" has not apprehended a single terrorist, but thousands of American citizens have been inconvenienced and arrested.
The ACLU says that "putting a million names on a watch list is a guarantee that the list will do more harm than good by interfering with the travel of innocent people and wasting huge amounts of our limited security resources on bureaucratic wheel-spinning."
It is worse than that. What the "watch list" or "no-fly list" is doing is training Americans to submit to warrantless searches, to abandon their constitutional rights, and to submit to humiliation by thugs and bullies. A Gestapo is being trained to have no qualms about searching and intimidating fellow citizens, using any excuse to delay or arrest them. Americans are being taught to use arbitrary power and to submit to arbitrary power. In the false name of "safety from terrorists," Americans are being made the least safe people on earth.

RESPONSE TO "BIPARTISAN DISDAIN OF CONGRESS"
That actually was a typo on my part, not a "math error" as you misstated.
And my "congressional approval" statistic is entirely correct. Not all polls are created equal. The Rasmussen Report tracks only actual voters opinions; not every half-baked bozo who answers the phone when the pollster calls.
The most recent Rasmussen Report poll shows that "just 9% (of actual voters) say Congress is doing a good or excellent job." This is down from 11% who smiled on Congress last month.
And whether one chooses to believe my exact statistics or yours, the salient point I made still stands:
Which is that the Congressional approval rating is far below that of President Bush, no matter how you want to slice it.

And your point is???? You love President Bush? You are defending him because...even though 78% of Americans HATE HIM...which by the way....is AN ALL TIME RECORD LOW....More people hate congress??? Why would congress's approval be any better? Are you surprised? Bush had 35 Articles of Impeachment read into the record last month by Dennis Kucinich. And Nancy Pelosi says impeachment is OFF THE TABLE...Bill Clinton gets impeached by the House for lying about a BJ, NO ONE DIED....and a president who knowingly lied us into a war where millions have died...among other high crimes and misdemeanors gets off scott free...OF COURSE CONGRESS HAS A LOW DISAPPROVAL RATING!!!!

Kelly Walters , there is a lie here and it is your tired Liberal BS about Bush Lying to go to war. Following inaccurate intelligence that the world believed yes . Lying , just a Liberal wet dream you are obviously having.
Even Saddam admitted to using intelligence subterfuge to trick the global community into thinking he had WMD's ( read a little more and you would already know this ) , he thought it would hold the world at bay. It backfired.
And let's not Forget Clinton's response to Al Queda on his watch. NOT AN F'ING THING. So screw Clinton. I understand that to a lady like you , ( and I use that term loosely ) a BJ for your husband by an enamored young kid is no big deal , but to those of us with a modicum of decency and morals we choose not to excuse turning my Whit House into a brothel.
I guess you just want us to forget he then perjured himself. I see Liberals like you whining about every Republican that lies under oath like it means something , and it does. So Screw your Clinton , he got what he deserved.
And stop whining about your sides not going through with articles of impeachment. They are not going to do it because they know they would lose and be embarrassed. And God please could you pick a worse representative to bring these articles.
Dennis Kucinich. He probably had ET , phone him those articles of impeachment from his home planet. LMAO!
Then you list Keith Olbermann and MSNBC as your credible news source. OMG, have you seen the ratings. Are you aware that they are such a propaganda machine for the left that any one with a ounce of intelligence can see. They can't even run a all news channel anymore because Americans have decided to stop watching them.
That Fox News you denigrate , was just found to be the most fair and balanced on the air by a Liberal University. Again Kelly try reading and staying current. A few more nights on your computer googling and a few less beer bongs could help. LOL!
So yea America , Kelly trash's what we have made the number one news source by our overwhelming viewership, while touting a dying Liberal rag , on par with the New York Times , like MSNBC.
To paraphrase Hillary Clinton , believing just about any of Kelly's ( Democrats talking points , you can hear on any MSNBC broadcast not Kelly's original thoughts )tripe would require THE WILLING SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF. LMAO!

RESPONSE TO MS. WALTERS:
Obama's just TOO RISKY, and TOO INEXPERIENCED of a presidential candidate right now. He's not the right person to lead post-September llth America.
Plus, 58% of Americans don't think that Barak Obama reflects their values.
Sorry to break it to you Ms. Walters, but you don't exactly have your finger on the pulse of the mainstream.
And the mainstream is the only thing that counts during an election year.
Also, you are apparently unaware of the fact that Clinton was actually impeached for lying to the U.S. Supreme Court under oath, in a written affidavit to the U.S. Supreme Court, in the Paula Jones case.
Who cares who the average clown in this country likes? The U.S. Supreme Court, every one of them unanimously, hates Bill Clinton's lying ass.
That's why not a single solitary Supreme Court justice showed up for Clinton's 2nd inaugural. Not even any of the democrats. Not even any members of the court that Clinton himself appointed. They all hate his lying ass, and refused to support him.
Just because Clinton fooled a lot of average dumbshits such as yourself doesn't mean he can fool a single member of the U.S. Supreme Court.
If and when George Bush ever lies in a sworn affidavit to the U.S. Supreme Court, you will have a point about him.
Until then, you don't.

This is to the two stupid 26%-ers on this and every thread who are still giving Bush/Cheney BJ's... What morans you are. Just STFU instead of proving with each an every posting how much you don't know.
Tweedle-Dee of the dipshit duo tries to claim that Bush wasn't lying about going to war and that Bush was only following inaccurate intelligence that the world believed.
Not quite. The inaccurate intelligence was in fact crap that the Bush Administration peddled to the world. Raw intelligence was stove-piped around the CIA and other agencies who usually added qualifiers and words of doubt through Cheney's office and from there leaked to the press and through lackeys like Tenent distributed to leaders of the world as gospel to hoodwink them. Why should they complain? The US pays many times over more for its military-industrial complex -- including spy agencies -- than all of the other nations of the world combined. If a CIA stooge like Tenent says its true, he must know something they don't.
From there, Tweedle-Dee's argument pretty much goes into the crapper talking about Clinton BJs and the horror to decency and morals that the White House should be turned into a brothel! In my books, a brothel is paid for services rendered. The services that the Bush White House repeatedly renders to his corporate sponsors takes whoring to a new level. As for morals, BJs don't kill and I don't recall seeing commandments against getting them or receiving them, but killing (via a war based on manufactured lies) is certainly very moral to Tweedle-Dee and not an offense.
for both Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dumb, Clinton was impeached by the House... for lying about a blow-job... but not convicted by the Senate. the republicans of the time who led this witch-hunt didn't talk about BJ's. It was all about lying and integrity, not the sexual trysts. Those same Republicans haven't uttered peep to more serious lying by Bush as indicated by the 35 articles of impeachment. F'in Hypocrites.
As for Tweedle-Dumb of the stupid 26%-ers, he argues that Obama is too inexperienced. All presidential candidates are inexperienced, with Bush being the worst prepared of any. Reagan and W. both proved that their smarts don't matter... it is all about the VP, the cabinet, what favors are owed or what dirt you have on others to get them to do your dirty bidding.
Although Tweedle-Dumb doesn't mention him by name, he is shilling for McCain because in this post-September 11th America (fear... 9/11... fear... 9/11) McCain is the one who will keep the wars going and start new wars.
At 26%, Tweedle-Dumb really has his finger on the pulse of the mainstream. To bad he is too dense to realize that a lie is a lie is a lie whether or not spoken in a State of the Union Address to the nation or under oath... which by the way, Bush has on numerous occassions refused to do... which by the way, the Bush administration wants all of its employees never to do, like Harriot Meyers, like Scooter Libby, ... because then the lid of one of the four dozen Bush Admin scandals will come flying off sending warm dung everywhere, knocking more lids off and justifying impeachment.

for both Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dumb, Clinton was impeached by the House... for lying about a blow-job... but not convicted by the Senate. the republicans of the time who led this witch-hunt didn't talk about BJ's.

Great post for the Neocon Fascists who post ignorant crap. As for the sacredness of the White House??? Why don't you google "Jeff Gannon" "Midnight White House visits". Gannon, AKA Jeff Guckert, is a gay male Washington DC prostitute. He was able to get into the prestigious white house press corp with NO EXPERIENCE. Check this link out:
Jeff Gannon for some information that should shock you.
Point is, I am no Clinton fan. I won't defend him. I was more concerned about his pushing the 1996 Telecommunications Act than his affair with Monica. That act resulted in the complete cancelling of the news due to extreme media consolidation. Bush has said homosexuality is a sin, and yet has White House sleepovers with a gay male prostitute. Bush also hung out with Ted Haggert. Remember him? He was the pastor of the New Life Church in C Springs and presidential advisor to Bush. Haggert gave into temptation and had drugs and gay sex (Meth and Man) with a massage therapist. Bush is a complete hypocrite and more than likely a closeted bisexual-not that there's anything wrong with that...unless you're a hypocrite!

Not only do you have incredibly poor (I'm guessing no college) spelling, grammar and syntax, but you keep failing to grasp the following fact:
91% of the public view this new (democrat controlled) congress as worse than useless.
Which makes George Bush's approval rating look like he's a popular hero, by comparison.
Read em' and weep!

U.S. Presidential candidate John McCain says that recent changes in his campaign staff are "A natural evolution."
He should take a tip from his conservative base and consider intelligent design.
Let's celebrate the last Independence Day under Bush/Cheney by listening to strangers' private phone calls and shooting friends in the face.

Of course Max doesn't have half the brain of a child so he sees this as witty.
Once again Max where is Obama's resume and experience that qualifies him to be President.
JUST ANSWER ONE QUESTION MAX. THAT SHOULD BE EASY EVEN FOR YOU. wE ARE WAITING TO HEAR ALL THE EXPERIENCE THAT MAKES OBAMA QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT.
Until you answer this each and every post you wrote will be met over and over with this question.
So the more you post the more people will want to hear your answer.
Since you can't answer this question , it will lead to everyone ignoring your rants.

"Sidetrack by Sideshows"
Presidential elections should be about issues, about vision, about the future. After all, the nation's economy is in freefall, gas and food prices are skyrocketing, the nation's infrastructure is crumbling, the Earth is warming and the war, well, there is the war.
But instead of issues, we are treated to an endless string of peripheral issues, questions about elitism and electability, flag pins, middle names and mudslinging, thanks to a news media obsessed with conflict and averse to complications.
And four of the biggest are also four that should be removed from the table:
1. The experience question:
While Sen. McCain has been touting his resume--former Navy pilot and prisoner of war who has served in Congress for 26 years, the last 22 in the Senate--implying that his opponent's is a bit thin, there is nothing about his experience that would suggest that he is better qualified for the nation's top office than Sen. Obama.
After all, we are not talking about some novice who woke up one day after owning a baseball team and decided to seek office. Sen. Obama has served in government for 11 years, four in the US Senate and seven in the state legislature in Illinois, and has worked as a community organizer, civil rights attorney and constitutional law professor.
The simple fact is that there is no experience that can prepare someone to be president. After all, President Ronald Reagan, by way of comparison, served eight years as governor of California and was an actor and corporate pitchman before that. And conservatives didn't seem at all concerned that the experience of their candidate in 2000--the current president--paled in comparison to his opponent, a sitting vice president who had served more than two decades in Congress.
Experience is a convenient argument to trot out when you have little else to talk about. The question, in the end, is not experience but vision and how the candidates' pasts might shape their work in the White House. So let's talk about vision and leave the resumes for the human resource people to peruse.
2. Flips and flops:
In 2004, Republicans tagged US Sen. John Kerry, the Democratic nominee, as a flip-flopper because of his vote on the funding of the Iraq War. Sen. Kerry voted against an $87 billion funding bill for the Iraq War in 2003, while proposing an alternative bill that would have provided the money but tied it to a repeal of some of the Bush tax cuts.
It was a standard legislative maneuver, but one that was easily painted as trying to have it both ways. And, thanks to a masterful advertising campaign by the GOP--along with attacks from outside groups--Kerry looked weak and ineffectual.
Fast forward to the 2008 race and it difficult to see how either candidate can benefit from raising the specter of the flip-flop. Both candidates have taken what charitably can be called "nuanced positions": McCain on the Bush tax cuts, the torture ban, public financing, Jerry Falwell and the Religious Right; Obama on the FISA vote and public financing.
This is to be expected, however, given that both have spent the bulk of their public lives as legislators whose primary job is to compromise to get things done. Compromise, however, doesn't play well in the current, 24-7 cable/blog culture.
3. Religion and the preacher question:
Both candidates have used religious affiliations to enhance their political viability – Obama proclaiming his faith publicly and endorsing faith-based public programs, McCain by reaching out to rightwing preachers after calling them "agents of intolerance." They've also both experienced blow-back because of their connections to pastors--the Revs. Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger for Obama; the Revs. John Hagee and Rod Parsley for McCain.
That blowback, as it were, should probably be considered comeuppance for both because of the opportunistic way in which both candidates have turned toward the religious realm. As the Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy, president of the Interfaith Alliance in Washington, D.C., wrote in The Christian Science Monitor (which I saw in the Record of Hackensack, N.J.):
"The candidates have sought the endorsements of clergy, and both McCain and Obama are now having some buyer's remorse. But candidates cannot have it both ways. They cannot continue to use clergy for political gain and then discard them when it no longer fits their agenda.
"The problem is not that these presidential candidates incorporated religion into their campaigns. The problem is that the candidates have used religion as a divisive tool, instead of a unifying power."
And the blowback--and common missteps--should offer enough incentive to leave religion out of the debate.
4. Patriotism:
Arguments over patriotism in a presidential contest are about as useful as arguing over which sports teams the candidates support. Both candidates are patriotic Americans and this little pissing contest demeans both and the concept of patriotism in general.
Enough of these issues. Let's talk about the economy, the environment, health care and the war.

Oh yeah sure.
We're really going to let Hank Kalet of "The Progressive Populist" define for us (as he states) "what presidential elections should be about."
Only in the hardcore leftist's wildest dreams does one very narrow political faction get to control the parameters of public debate.
By announcing that the issues that are the big losers for his own candidate are now "off the table".
Dream on.
What Kalet did accomplish here though is to delineate for us which issues the serious lefties are teeth-chatteringly concerned might trip Obama up, come November.
That's helpful, thanks. Obviously the public needs to be looking into those specific areas even more carefully.

Obama's Global Tax
By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY | Posted Tuesday, July 29, 2008 4:20 PM PT
Election '08: A plan by Barack Obama to redistribute American wealth on a global level is moving forward in the Senate. It follows Marxist theology -- from each according to his ability, to each according to his need.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IBD Series: The Audacity Of Socialism
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are citizens of the world, Sen. Obama told thousands of nonvoting Germans during his recent tour of the Middle East and Europe . And if the Global Poverty Act (S. 2433) he has sponsored becomes law, which is almost certain if he wins in November, we're also going to be taxpayers of the world.
Speaking in Berlin , Obama said: "While the 20th century taught us that we share a common destiny, the 21st has revealed a world more intertwined than at any time in human history."
What the 20th century really showed was a series of totalitarian threats -- from fascism to Nazism to communism -- defeated by the U.S. military. Hitler's Germany , Mussolini's Italy , Tojo's Japan and the Soviet Union offered destinies we did not share.
Our destiny of peace and freedom through strength was not achieved by a transnationalist fantasy of buying the world a Coke and singing "Kumbaya."
Obama's Global Poverty Act offers us a global socialist destiny we do not want, one that challenges America 's very sovereignty. The former "post-racial" candidate obviously intends to be a post-national president.
A statement from Obama's office says: "With billions of people living on just dollars a day around the world, global poverty remains one of the greatest challenges and tragedies the international community faces. It must be a priority of American foreign policy to commit to eliminating extreme poverty and ensuring every child has food, shelter and clean drinking water."
These are worthy goals, but note there's no mention of spreading democracy, expanding free trade, promoting entrepreneurial capitalism or ridding the world of despots who rule and ravage countries such as Zimbabwe and Sudan .
Obama would give them all a fish without teaching them how to fish. Pledging to cut global poverty in half on the backs of U.S. taxpayers is a ridiculous and impossible goal.
His legislation refers to the "millennium development goal," a phrase from a declaration adopted by the United Nations Millennium Assembly in 2000 and supported by President Clinton.
It calls for the "eradication of poverty" in part through the "redistribution (of) wealth of land" and "a fair distribution of the earth's resources." In other words: American resources.
It's a mantra of liberals that the U.S. is only a small portion of the world's population yet consumes an unseemly portion of the planet's supposedly finite resources. Never mentioned is the fact that America 's population, just 5% of the world's total, also produces a stunning 27% of the world's GDP -- to the enormous benefit of other countries. Nonetheless, their solution is to siphon off the product of our free democracy and distribute it.
We already transfer too much national wealth to the United Nations and its busybody agencies. Obama's bill would force U.S. taxpayers to fork over 0.7% of our gross domestic product every year to fund a global war on poverty, spending well above the $16.3 billion in global poverty aid the U.S. already spends.
Over a 13-year period, from 2002, when the U.N.'s Financing for Development Conference was held, to the target year of 2015, when the U.S is expected to meet its part of the U.N. Millennium goals, we would be spending an additional $65 billion annually for a total of $845 billion.
During a time of economic uncertainty, the plan would cost every American taxpayer around $2,500.
If you're worried abut gasoline and heating oil prices now, think what they'll be like when the U.S. is subjected in an Obama administration to global energy consumption and production taxes. Obama's Global Poverty Act is the "international community's" foot in the door.
The U.N. Millennium declaration called for a "currency transfer tax," a "tax on the rental value of land and natural resources," a "royalty on worldwide fossil energy production -- oil, natural gas, coal . . . fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for the airplane use of the skies, fees for the use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels."
Co-sponsors of S. 2433 include Democrats Maria Cantwell of Washington, Dianne Feinstein of California , Richard Durbin of Illinois and Robert Menendez of New Jersey . GOP globalists supporting the bill include Chuck Hagel of Nebraska and Richard Lugar of Indiana .
Lugar has worked with Obama to promote more aid to Russia to promote nuclear nonproliferation. Lugar also promotes the Law of the Sea treaty, which turns over the world's oceans to an International Seabed Authority that would charge us to drill offshore and have veto power over the movements and actions of the U.S. Navy.
Obama's agenda sounds like defeated 2004 Democratic candidate John Kerry's "global test" for U.S. foreign policy decisions where "you have to do it in a way that passes the test -- that passes the global test -- where your countrymen, your people understand fully why you're doing what you're doing and you can prove to the world that you did it for legitimate reasons."
Obama has called on the U.S. to "lead by example" on global warming and probably would submit to a Kyoto-like agreement that would sock Americans with literally trillions of dollars in costs over the next half century for little or no benefit.
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times . . . and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama has said. "That's not leadership. That's not going to happen."
Oh, really? Who's to say we can't load up our SUV and head out in search of bacon double cheeseburgers at the mall? China ? India ? Bangladesh ? The U.N.?
In an Obama White House, American sovereignty will become an endangered species. The Global Poverty Act is the first toe in the water of global socialism.
Read it an weep Max.
Of course Max has the same agenda. He hates America and can't wait to live under a Muslim Caliphate.

Read about a traitor.
This just in , Obama's campaign said that John McCain has never made race an issue in his campaign , and then Obama went on to play the race card against McCain.
He made the statement that he doesn't look like the other Presidents on the American money , and that Mccain's Campaign was going to try to scare America because of that.
So Obama says that McCain has never used the race card , and then goes on to say but he is going to use it.
Obama is getting so desperate that he is going to start whining ," THEY WON'T ELECT THE BLACK MAN ".
I'll go one step further. Geraldine Ferraro had it right. Obama actually would not be where he is if he was not Black.
He has absolutely no qualifications or experience to be President. What he is , is slick. He makes Clinton look like an amateur at PR and Charisma.
And yes there are a lot of whites and others that feel guilty , and will vote for him because he is black. It is a way for them to assuage their guilt.
I think that is really sad. I would have voted for a qualified Black man , but Obama is not it.
Now that he is lost his 9 point bounce from his give America to the world tour , and he and McCain today are tied at 44% by Gallup , he is freaking out and starting to whine that he is black and that the man is keeping him down.
Another disgusting glimpse into the RACISTM OF OBAMA.
The more the American people get to really know Obama the more they realize he has absolutely no qualifications to be President and his policies are so far left he makes Moveon.org look conservative.
Obama is a globalist , and said as much in Germany declaring himself a citizen of the world not the United States.
Obama is all about wealth redistribution. He wants to do away with countries and reduce our standard of living to that of the world.
The United State through hard work and grit has made this country the most wealthy and powerful on the planet.
We have seen what other cultures and countries have done. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO OURS.
Yet Obama and his Globalist buddies want the world ( UN and world courts ) to dictate to us what we should do.
Obama sees himself as Emperor Obama leader of the world not President of the United States.
Obama goes on and on ad nauseum about his pride for America. After all it could only happen in America he keeps cooing.
Then when given a chance in front of two hundred thousand Germans to praise this country he loves so much he instead accuse us of torture and denigrates his country on foreign soil , then goes on to distance himself from America by declaring himself a citizen of the world.
So while running for President of this country he tells the world , I AM REALLY ON OF YOU.
Terrorism is not the biggest threat to this country. OBAMA is.
Just ask your self why Hamas wants Obama elected.
Our enemies know that Obama in charge will be no threat to them and they can continue to kill Americans , and what will they get for this.
Instant death? Horrible retribution? Justice?
No they get a no preconditions sit down with President Obama. He will reward them for killing the citizens of the country he loves so much.
If Obama is elected , you can kiss your money and country goodbye.

Obama's Qualifications

Craig,
So now you're spamming three different threads with the same articles and the same bullshit, as if repeating crap will make it more truthinness.
I haven't seen this Max guy on this thread or the others in awhile, although you have repeatedly jumped to that conclusion and made a royal fool of yourself.
If you really wanted to read Obama's resume and qualifications for the office of President, they are readily available. Can't figure out how to get to his website?
How about using recent postings to frame Obama's qualifications?
==============
- Sen. Obama has served in government for 11 years: four in the US Senate and seven in the state legislature in Illinois.
- Obama embarked on five political races during his 12 years in the halls of academia.
- Obama split his weeks between an elite law school and the far less rarefied atmosphere of the Illinois Senate.
- Obama has worked as a constitutional law professor.
- Obama was a good teacher. Most scores on his teaching evaluations were positive to superlative.
- Obama has worked as a community organizer.
- Obama has worked as a civil rights attorney.
- Obama admired for the soaring but plainspoken speeches of Frederick Douglass. Obama admired Douglass's use of a collective voice that embraced black and white concerns, one that Mr. Obama has now adopted himself.
- Obama championed in the classroom themes from his campaign: self-determinism as opposed to paternalism, strength in numbers, his concept of community development.
- Obama knows which countries border Iraq.
- Obama understands the difference between Shia and Sunni.
- Obama is aware that Czechoslovakia no longer exists
- Obama has assurance, grace, and mastery of the facts.
- Obama never would have been treated as a president-in-waiting by heads of state or network talking heads if all he offered were charisma, slick rhetoric and stunning visuals.
- Obama possesses scant credentials in national security and foreign policy like both of the last two presidents.
Experience is a convenient argument to trot out when you have little else to talk about. The simple fact is that there is no experience that can prepare someone to be president. The question, in the end, is not experience but vision and how the candidates' pasts might shape their work in the White House.
==============
- The strongest argument for the Democrat is the weak performance of the Republican regime's vaunted "grown-ups," including McCain and his advisers.
==============
- McCain could also have stepped into the leadership gap left by Mr. Bush's de facto abdication. His inability to even make a stab at doing so is troubling.
- McCain's behavior at home raise about his fitness to be president.
- McCain called one of the most successful and popular government programs, which uses the tax revenues of current workers to support retirement benefits for the elderly "an absolute disgrace." It ought to be a campaign issue. It indicates that he is not any better informed on major domestic policy issues than he is on foreign policy (which is supposedly his "strength").
- McCain made factual errors about the only subject he cares about, imagining an Iraq-Pakistan border and garbling the chronology of the Anbar Awakening.
- McCain demonstrates he knows nothing about Afghanistan and Pakistan.
- McCain displayed a tantrum-prone temperament ill-suited to a high-pressure 21st-century presidency.
- McCain claims that offshore drilling in environmentally sensitive areas will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and lower gasoline prices. But according to the Energy Information Agency, McCain's proposed drilling would produce too little oil (less then two tenths of one percent of world oil supply) to have a significant effect on oil prices (PDF). Not to mention that it would be ten years before we would see any oil at all.
- The President doesn't have to be a master of detail. He has advisors. But he has to at least learn enough from his advisors to be able to make an informed decision. McCain doesn't seem to be able to do this, and his mistakes seem to be more about ideological blindness and political deception than a lack of education.
- McCain's top economic policy adviser calls Americans a bunch of "whiners" for being worried about the slumping economy.
- McCain first refused to accept Iraqi leaders call for a timetable for U.S. withdrawal as being true. Then he concedes that it was an accurate statement, but was probably just a political ploy to curry favor with his own people and WOULD NOT influence his determination to keep US troops in Iraq indefinitely. Yet, McCain in 2004 at the Council on Foreign Relations said that if the Iraqis asked us to leave, we would have to go.
- McCain's economic plan to cut the deficit has no details and is simply not believable, especially given McCain's other proposals to a) cut individual and corporate taxes even further, b) extend the Bush tax cuts and c) massively increase defense spending on manpower (200,000 more troops) and d) maintain a long-term sizable military presence in Iraq.
- McCain makes a joke about killing Iranians.
- McCain distorts his record on veterans benefits in response to a question from Vietnam Veteran.
- McCain's grim-faced crusade to brand his opponent as a traitor who wants to "lose a war" isn't even a competent impersonation of Joe McCarthy. Mr. McCain comes off instead like the ineffectual Mr. Wilson, the retired neighbor perpetually busting a gasket at the antics of pesky little Dennis the Menace.
- McCain's violated the U.S. MILITARY CODE OF CONDUCT during the Vietnam War:
*- I will accept neither parole [early release] nor special favors from the enemy.
*- I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades.
*- I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.
- McCain willfully collaborated with the Vietnamese, Soviets, and Cubans.
- McCain gave during the Vietnam War to the communist North Vietnamese approximately 20 interviews, which U.S. documents support proving POW McCain seriously "collaborated."
http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/371.html
- McCain should have never been allowed to graduate from the U.S. Navy flight school.
- McCain was a below average student.
- McCain was a lousy pilot.
- McCain lost five U.S. Navy aircraft, four in accidents and one in combat during his relative short stunt on flight status.
- McCain's fourth aircraft loss occurred July 29, 1967, soon after he was assigned to the USS Forrestal as an A-4 Skyhawk pilot. While seated in the cockpit of his aircraft waiting his turn for takeoff, an accidently fired rocket slammed into McCain's plane. He escaped from the burning aircraft, but the explosions that followed killed 134 sailors, destroyed at least 20 aircraft, and threatened to sink the ship.
- "John McCain was the kind of guy you wanted to room with -- not fly with. He was reckless, and that's critical when you start thinking about who's going to be the president," says another Navy pilot and acquaintance of that era.
So now you're spamming three different threads with the same articles and the same bullshit, as if repeating crap will make it more truthinness.

Thank you we now know that Obama has no world experience. I love how you say he knows where Iraq is ( I know your trying to cut down Mccain ) as though that is a why he is qualified to be President.
Thank you for pointing out he has only 4 years experience as a senator and much of that campaigning.
The rest of his life was at low level local stuff. He is a teacher. Well then my wife has been a teacher in a School for 27 years and has many awards for her teaching.
Using your logic she is more Qualified than Obama then. LOL I'll let her know.
Your denigration of McCain is all lies and distortions of the truth and have been proven so in this and other threads.
Nice try distancing your self from Max. Max you have a unique writing style and I can tell when it is you as can Reg Indy and many others on this thread.
One way you can tell it's max is he never says anything mice about America and always trash's anything conservative.
He also has huge posts like yours full of irrelevant things and quotes many news sources you do like Daily KOS and Huffington Post , and others.
In the time I have been here I have never seen a CSU student put all these elements plus a few I choose to keep to myself.
So if you really are not Max ( and you are ) then it is even worse. You now have the distinction of being the only CSU student ignorant enough to become a Max clone.
Like I said I will take Bud Days ( medal of Homor Recipient ) say about McCain over any one else.
And I notice you don't respond to any of the other Obama stuff.
Like the fact he is racist , elitist , is a globalist and is pushing policies right now that are socialist.
He has been voted the honor of being the most Liberal Senator in the Senate. That means he is way left of Ted Kennedy and even farther left than John Kerry.
Obama had the chance in Germany to say he was proud of America. Instead he condemned America , denigrated it on foreign soil and then claimed to be a citizen of the world never mentioning being a citizen of America.
He basically went on a fact finding trip ( his word not mine ) and admitted any facts learned would be ignored as he was not changing his mind.
He never said positive things about his country and basically spent his time kissing the worlds derriere and telling them America was bad.
Now let's see the latest flip flop.
A week ago he said no drilling off shore or Anwar period. Liberals and Democrats are still saying their is enough land already leased to the oil companies and so no drilling should be allowed of the coast or anwar.
Well recently polls show that Americans are not buying Obama and the Liberals crap and want drilling along with other energy sources tapped immediately.
Clinton blocked the last drilling , and want to know his argument then. It would take ten years to do so why bother.
Well if he had bothered you wouldn't be paying $4 a gallon now.
So this morning Obama made a complete 180 and says he i snow for some off shore drilling.
Has he changed his opinion. HELL NO.
He is just lying through his teeth because he knows this could keep him out of the White House. So he will say any lie until he is in then he is going to revert to his inexperienced Liberal self.
But thanks for finally listing the pathetic list or what you think are qualifications for the President of the united states.
Absent are decades of experience in the Senate , and all that it does to prepare you to run the country.
I would say that if the left can say that being in the military and a fighter pilot doesn't qualify a man to be President in a time of war , then nothing you listed for Obama even comes close under the lefts own standards.
So you listed all the reasons he is unqualified , and I list all the truthful things that make him a bigot , racist , elitist , inexperienced , globalist , socialist that wants to hand Americas sovereignty to that world he says he is a citizen of so we can all have crappy standards of living.
Obama will insure that America is as crappy as the rest of the world. We won't have to worry about illegal immigration any more because no one will want o come here anymore after Obama turns us into a huge third world country.
Obamanation. The most dangerous movement in Americas history.

You like Non sequiturs and jokes well here is one for you.
A very Liberal couple who had a conservative friend asked him to come by to see what a great Liberal job they had done raising their daughter.
The to;d their daughter in front of their friend , well Susie you know we told you you could be anything you wanted in America , even the President.
Well if you were President tomorrow what is the first thing you would do.
Susie thought a second and said she would give a home to every homeless person. The Liberal parents were beaming and told their conservative friend , see how generous she is. That is the Liberal in her.
Their conservative friend thought a second and told Susie the following.
He said Susie I have three big dogs at my house. The back yard is just overflowing with smelly dog crap. Why don't you come by and pick up all the Crap and I'll give you five dollars for you to give that homeless man. Then he will be five dollars closer to that house you were going to give him.
Susie got a perplexed and then disgusted look on her face.
She told the conservative friend , hey why can't that lazy homeless guy just come by and pick up that crap himself and earn the five dollars.
WELCOME TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WHERE EVEN A CHILD GETS IT.

McCain's 1968 Heroism Can't Excuse His 2008 McCarthyism

Pundits on the talks shows say that the '08 election is all about Barack Obama: Can he pass the commander-in-chief test and avoid gaffes and reassure white voters? The burden is always put on him.
But another question is whether John McCain can pass the character test. So far, he's failing.
What? A bona fide war hero and POW survivor is being questioned about character?
Well, yes. It's time that McCain's acolytes and the mainstream media stopped assuming that his extraordinary military service nearly 40 years ago gives him immunity to questions about being President today in a different century.
First, there is the unpleasant fact that in the past week McCain has sounded more like McCarthy in his patriotism-baiting of Obama. When he repeatedly says that Obama for political reasons "would rather lose a war in order to win a political campaign," he's imputing a political motive than he can't know, doesn't know, and is contradicted by the available evidence.
Agree with Obama's Iraq policies or not, surely he's been consistently opposed to our invasion and occupation of a country that didn't attack us, dating from the speech he gave in 2002 -- of course before he was a U.S. Senator or presumptive Democratic nominee.
Bluntly, what McCain is doing is a familiar trope -- from tail gunner Joe to Richard Nixon's "positive polarization" to Bush 41's campaigning in flag factories against a guy with a foreign-sounding last name to Bush 43's "with us or with the terrorists" rhetoric after 9/11. Divide and conquer.
This is especially unconvincing since Obama's policies are essentially the same as those held by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki, the bipartisan Baker-Hamilton Commission, nearly all Senate Democrats -- and McCain himself, who told Wolf Blitzer that Obama's 16-month withdrawl timeline might be acceptable.
Do Senators Clinton, Biden, Hagel, Kennedy etc. too want America to lose a war, or do they simply disagree with McCain's judgment?
Second, this line of personal attack is one of numerous examples of McCain's Zig-Zag Express. When it comes to flip-flopping, McCain recently has made John Kerry (falsely accused of this) look like the Rock of Gibraltar.
For years MCain impressively built up his popular "maverick" brand, attacking the far right on a variety of issues. But in frequent 180 degree turns, now he instead supports tax cuts for the rich, panders to the religious right, opposes affirmative action and votes against anti-torture rules for the CIA. Exactly who is shifting positions for political reasons?
McCain said two months ago that he wanted to run a "civil campaign" free of personal attacks. Now he all but accuses Obama of being unpatriotic, nearly treasonous. His recent ad asserting that Obama refused to visit troops because he couldn't bring cameras along and chose to go to the gym instead is, well, a lie. Factcheck.org, the Washington Post and the New York Times have analyzed the facts and said as much. But it plays into McCain's strategy that he's a "real American President," as one of his first ads unsubtly put it.
Normally, when a Republican presidential candidate wants to "swift boat" an opponent, he winks at third party groups to do it for him -- like the ads spotlighting Willie Horton in 1988 (which we now know that Bush 41's Lee Atwater helped coordinate) or those by veterans falsely attacking Kerry's war record, which McCain rightly and courageously condemned. Yet here it's McCain himself who is personally swift-boating Obama in a dishonorable and desperate attempt to trip up the leading candidate. He's engaging in the tactics that he deplored.
But as Ann Coulter knows, sometimes a narrative is too lucrative or compelling not to use even if it's untrue. So a campaign full of Karl Rove proteges will continue the story of McCain as patriotic and Obama as a combination of Lennon and Lenin. Until two things happen.
First, the national media needs to start covering McCain's sleazy tactics and repeated lies as often, say, as they covered Rev. Wright. That shouldn't take the courage of a Murrow, only reporters who won't let McCain continue to hide under his hero halo anymore.
And second, while Obama should and will stay calm in the face of personal, contrived assaults, he can't and won't accept Pat Buchanan's convenient suggestion to me in a Hardball debate and to others -- i.e., just ignore it. Democrats learned from Gore and Kerry, as Mark Twain informed us, that "a lie gets half way around the world before truth puts on her boots." So while Obama himself stays cool, his campaign and surrogates and ads have to bludgeon McCain not on personal attributes but on policy flaws -- on his unpopular plans on Iraq, social security, oil giveaways, global warming, tax fairness, mortgage fraud, on being George Bush's poodle. If McCain insists on telling lies about Obama, the Obama Team should respond by telling the truth about him.
Start with the truth that a maverick has morphed into a McCarthy -- and that the honorable McCain of 2000 wouldn't vote for the angry McCain of 2008.

Absolutely no comparison , but thank you for bringing up McCarthy. You know show what depths the left will sink to to try to put an Anti American , inexperienced , racist , bigoted , socialist , globalist , in the White House.
What's next you gonna call McCain Hitler.
And the more times you bring up his war hero status the more times we see he is the man for the job.
The left has a reason for constantly denigrating McCains military service.
1. they hate the military as was evidenced by the left trying to lose the Iraq war and sabotage the war effort.
2. the left tried to get military ballots discounted in the last election so Bush would lose.
3. Murtha and the left called our heroes murderers before an investigation could even be accomplished. Then when they wer cleared , this bag of crap disgrace to our uniform Murtha would not even say he was sorry. I hope those marines sue him penniless.
So if the left truly thought as they say that McCains military service was nothing , they would not mention it in a derogatory manner every thirty seconds.
The opposite is true. They know that in a time of war when you combine McCains experience in government and war he is the perfect man for the job.
Add that he is the only true centrist in this race and you have enough reason to vote McCain.

Not All Veterans Salute McCain

The growing ranks of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan will have a lot to say about who becomes president. And what they are saying isn't what you might expect.
In theory, John McCain, with his long record of service as a Navy pilot and prisoner of war story from Vietnam, should have the market cornered on the military vote.
Instead, he has drawn opposition from many veterans because of his voting record in the Senate. SEN. MCCAIN HAS VOTED AGAINST BILLS THAT WOULD HAVE IMPROVED VETERANS' BENEFITS, PARTICULARLY HEALTH CARE, OR MEASURES TO EASE THE STRAIN ON ACTIVE-DUTY TROOPS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
THE DISAPPROVAL AMONG VETS FOR SEN. MCCAIN HAS FED SURPRISING SUPPORT FOR BARACK OBAMA, WHO HAS VOTED FOR MANY OF THE VETERANS' INITIATIVES IN THE SENATE THAT HIS OPPONENT REJECTED.
One of the last things the McCain campaign expected was to wind up in the cross hairs of angry veterans and having to fight off repeated attacks. But, then, that was also one of the last things the decorated veteran John Kerry expected in 2004.
The Internet has given rise to a new generation of veterans groups that line up from one end of the political spectrum to the other - Veterans for Peace at the left end and the Swift Boat Vets on the right.
Among the many misconceptions about running for president is that a military combat record makes a candidate more electable.
In fact, the converse is true, at least since the Vietnam War changed Americans' perspectives about service in the armed forces.
None of the three presidents who have won two terms since the '70s has done it on the strength of his military credentials.
As an Army officer during World War II, Ronald Reagan made government movies for the war effort while stationed in Culver City, Cal. Bill Clinton has no military record, and lingering questions about why he has none. George W. Bush made sure the skies were safe over Houston when he served on the homefront with the Texas Air National Guard during the height of Vietnam.
Presidential candidates with truly heroic service in World War II have been big losers in November: George McGovern was a decorated B-24 bomber pilot who flew dozens of missions over Africa and Europe; Bob Dole nearly died from wounds suffered in Italy, and lost the use of his right arm; George H.W. Bush earned the Distinguished Flying Cross after getting shot down during one of many bombing missions in the Pacific.
When it comes to winning support from veterans, Sen. McCain's voting record on their issues is an imposing obstacle.
The Disabled Veterans of America gives him a 20 percent rating, compared with an 80 percent rating for Sen. Obama. The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans for America gives Sen. McCain a D and Sen. Obama a B+. The Vietnam Veterans of America say Sen. McCain has voted against them on 15 issues.
One of the most vocal and fastest-growing veterans groups to oppose the McCain campaign is VoteVets.org. Formed in 2006, the organization claims a membership of roughly 100,000, with a political action committee devoted to electing congressional candidates who oppose the handling of the Iraq war.
Especially galling to VoteVets.org is Sen. McCain's opposition to the new, bipartisan GI Bill that increases education benefits for Iraq and Afghanistan vets. Sen. Obama voted for the bill when it passed 75-22 in May; Sen. McCain was on the campaign trail and did not vote.
The size of the veterans' vote is easier to calculate than its direction. The nation has about 24 million veterans - a population the size of California - with 1.7 million of them in Florida. In 2004, roughly 80 percent of vets turned out to vote, compared with 64 percent of nonveterans. American veterans are 80 percent white non-Hispanic, 11 percent African-American, 6 percent Hispanic and 92 percent male. Their median age is 60, and 60 percent of them live in urban areas.
Veterans are politically and demographically diverse - a long way from a monolithic voting bloc. But Sen. McCain is running the risk of uniting them against him.

Not all veterans salute McCain ...... ONLY THE GREAT ONES DO.
Like I said , bring on all the disgruntled , sad , jealous veterans that trash McCain and I'll match them all with one guy.
BUD DAY.
Let me know how many of those malingering , malcontents you bring up won the Medal of honor or came even close to the record of Bud Day.
If you could trash him you would as the left is famous for trashing heroes.
How soon you forget the Liberals General Betrayus. So let's see the left trotted out a fake soldier before that supposedly trashed the war and then we found out that he had never been to Iraq.
Then their was Murtha and his denigration of Marines as murderers before the investigation was over. They were cleared and Murtha would not even apologize.
Then they denigrated General Petraeus , again before he spoke a word ( a Left trademark of trashing people without eve nearing what they have to say ), and then they praise him after he is found to be responsible for implementing the policy ( the surge ) that is winning the war for us.
Finally you trot out another bunch of malcontents and try to denigrate another war hero. But the most decorated soldier in America says your a lair. I'll side with him given the lefts track record.
And once and for all I hope the kids at CSU are smart enough to see from my examples that the left hates the military contrary to their lies about how much they support them.
So thank you for pointing out all that I have said. You really are a pathetic , UnAmerican , soldier hating moron.

Bud Day is one person, one vote.
If this honorable Bud Day were here, he wouldn't be like you disrespecting all of the soldiers and veterans who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan and have reason to vote against McCain, because they're being screwed.
In fact, if he were really that honorable, he'd be standing with the other veterans in taking McCain to the woodshed for McCain's votes that were anti-military, anti-soldier, anti-American.
Just because Bud Day spent 3 months out of McCain's 5 years as a POW with him, doesn't make him a saint. Day's unconditional support of McCain, even McCain's positions against Vietnam Veterans and MIA's exposes Mancharian motives.
One man's war record is just that: one man's. Bud Day's record isn't McCain's. And it isn't that of all those veterans who have just cause for being anti-McCain.
Yeah, I'll bring all of those disgruntled veterans, and they'll run over your Bud Day and armchair sabor-rattlers like you with their wheel chairs, prosthetic legs, and crutches. F U, you military hater, someone who doesn't give a damn if Bush and McCain march all active duty and reserve service personnel to their demise as long as they die fighting so you can fill up your SUV. Death and destruction overseas isn't enough for you; you want to piss them off so they'll "bring it on" home.

Oh, big words, fairy prince. And such a fitting vivid imagination you have!
Shall we start with the lie about your extensive military family so you can feel important? Or should we begin with your dream of being threatened here? Or should we lead off with your "real name" claim? Or maybe we should talk about your big talk little dick... stick... schtick that you can't remember properly from some dead President?
Oh, such a wonderful lie... life... you live hiding behind your computer, masterbating to your re-posting of Michelle Malkin. What additional made-up shit are you going to squirt out? Whose identity did you think you stole? Did it give you instant courage so that it is you who is makes threats and imagines being threatened?
In order for you to teach me a lesson, you'd have to know something. You don't.
You seem pretty scared of disgruntled veterans.
As you should be. The Disabled Veterans of America will be happy to stick a prosthetic foot up your red white and blue ASS for your regular McCain BJ's, because he rates only 20% in their books. The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans for America gives Sen. McCain a D, so don't be surprised when your imaginary step-son runs over you and your McCain lawn sign with his electric wheel-chair.
You are a f'ing liar hiding behind the flag, a made-up dream of military honor in your family, and a made-up name.
If you really had that much invested in the present military engagements, you would be singing a very different tune about the candidates that you give lip service to. You would STFU and focus on the issues. You wouldn't kiss the asses of General Petrayus and Bud Day, while out of the other side of you mouth vomit on General Clark and a legion of truly heroic Iraq and Afghanistan veterans who know and have experienced more of military actions than your miserable existance ever will.
What part of the following didn't you read:
- When it comes to winning support from veterans, Sen. McCain's voting record on their issues is an imposing obstacle.
- The Vietnam Veterans of America say Sen. McCain has voted against them on 15 issues.

- Sen. McCain's (opposes) the new, bipartisan GI Bill that increases education benefits for Iraq and Afghanistan vets.
Don't you think your imaginary step-son fighting for the fifth time in Afghanistan wants a piece of that?
Nope, because he's a figment of your imagination, both of you don't give a damn about any of that.

Don't you think your imaginary step-son fighting for the fifth time in Afghanistan wants a piece of that?
Nope, because he's a figment of your imagination, both of you don't give a damn about any of that.

This is priceless. You say I am lying about my name. Everyone at CSU knows my name and who in my family attends CSU. They even printed my address and sent me books.
So now you have made an ass of your self in front of everyone here. Maybe you should read the archives before you open your ignorant mouth.
My Dad is Don Hawley a known author and world traveler and he served on a LCI Gunboat in WWII.
Check out my face book account and the seventy friends I have right here at CSU. They are all laughing at you now.
Here you are hiding behind your nick and accusing me of using a fake name.
I served in the Army from 75-78 and anytime you want I can send you my DD214 ( that's a separation document from the service ) you never been in the military poof.
I guess you missed my articles for the RamRepublic. Got a nice pic of my dad meeting with Eddie Rickenbacker. Now I know you don't have any idea who he was , but he was Americas ACE in WWI. He is also a Medal of honor winner.
Funny how my Dad and I seem to hang out with these guys , that you denigrate.
As I said I have no idea who you are but everyone at CSU knows me , so you saying my name is made up makes you look like the colossal ass you are.
Like I said McCain refusing to go home when allowed after two years of torture says it all. That my man is character , something you obviously don't have , accusing me of having a fake name when you had no idea who I was.
I can tell one thing about you. Your not from CSU and you haven't posted here much. If you were and had you would know who I am.
I have become friends with some on the Collegian staff and also as I said wrote two articles for the Ram Republic.
So you bring your Vets and I'll bring mine. Accomplishes nothing but hey it's what you said you were going to do not me.
Your the child that painted the picture of wheel chair bets kicking my ass.
Why don't we start with using your real name you F'ing hypocrite. And stop saying people don't use their real name when they do. I know that you are such a computer geek and nerd you never use your name instead trying to be cute with your nicks. I'll bet you password has something to do with the word God. LOL
You are the coward hiding behind their screen that refuses to take responsibility for your ignorant words.
So bring it on , now that all at CSU know your a liar. Welcome to the big leagues rookie.

What a putz you are! You aren't even a CSU student, not an alum, not even a Colorado resident! Your closest tie to the university and this publication is a step-daughter. Does her attending here give you the right to spam us with your hate?
Lots of good schools in California. Did your step-daughter run to Colorado to escape you only to discover you're an even bigger embarrassment to her from a thousand miles away online?
FTR, she paid HER tuition ... maybe from your wallet ... but neither you nor she didn't pay YOUR tuition. So who TF do you think you are? Has she ever told you to shut TF up, stop embarrassing her, stop endangering her? Next you'll be bragging about how you fought during peace time for this free speech. FU again, because free speech doesn't mean "flood speech", drowning everybody else with your hate, and discounting their opinions just because they're students. Oh, and I missed the part of your resume where you said you had any college degrees or your tenured position at any school of higher learning which would entitle you to teach anything to anyone, so you are one MF'ing pud-puller to be talking down to anyone on this forum. Put an f'ing damn in the running of your mouth.
Yeah, scan your DD214 into a PDF file, post it on your website, and then provide those web addresses. While you are it, scan your student ID, driver's license, social security card, 2007 1040, and most recent statements from your bank and utilities to prove you are real, otherwise you're just another online pretender boasting of a big body parts, like a fat head. You can't prove who you say you are, but what you can prove is that you are a loser putz by being stupid enough to try.
Oh, and you are such a comedian with your Ram Republic article that you brag about. Might as well be a church newsletter. I've never seen that publication on campus. All this boasting of what your daddy did and what your step-son Garth is doing, but very little about your tiny peace-time stint in the Army and your medal of honors! Where's the picture of you and Bud Day who hangs out with you? Won't Garth be proud that in supporting McCain, you screw your militant family over.

Ah so you are a liar pretending to not know who I was and saying I was using a fake name then coming back in this post and stating all those facts that have been on these threads for months.
So who is spamming now.
And thank you for letting everyone see I got to you by your tirade.
Once again you also make your self out to be the censoring far left loon you are.
It does not matter if no body from my family goes there. I as a citizen of America have the right to post on any public forum and your trying to say I don't makes you the censoring word Nazi.
It is easy to see that you don't have any coherent arguments and are losing the battle of wits completely so your retort is to silence dissent from your pathetic position.
I must thank you profusely for showing all at CSU your true colors.
I have been cursed and threatened by punks here and not once have you seen a post where I called for them to be banned or kicked or tried to stifle their speech at all.
I prefer for them to speak so I can expose them for who and what they are like you.
So please MR. WORD NAZI , speak on and keep exposing your self for the weak minded fool you are.
I also have many friends at CSU and have even written a couple articles for a student publication.
So you one little peon that is not even a CSU student loses their temper and tries to censor my speech , is no comparison to the 70 or so friends I have that are students and the fact they asked me to participate in their forums and write a couple articles.
Using your pathetic attempt at Logic , your lone attempt to say I shouldn't post here is trumped by 70 fellow students that are open minded and not word Nazis and actually asked me to speak.
I know who you are and I ask you the same question I asked you before.
Please direct us to any publication on Campus that has asked to hear from you.
That would be a great big ZERO just like your life.
So crawl back into your left wing hate hole and F off.
Your feeble attempts to restrict free speech will not fly on this campus.
Maybe you should move to Germany and see if you can get the Nazi movement restarted.
ROFLLMAO
And I seem to remember some garbage about Ad Hominem attacks coming from that big mouth. Then you attack my family which has nothing to do with the thread ( a clear violation ) and just makes you a hypocrite that once again tries to lay down rules for others ( which hew has no power or authority to do ) and then violates his own rules.
So once again thanks you for making your slef a complete moron that no one is listening to.
Anyone with half a brain can see from the posts this is the same person and we all know who that is.
You have been chased off this thread in humiliation twice now. So you just return , hide behind your Nicks , but can't change your writing style or your far left news sources.
In the time I have been here I have yet to have a single CSU student use your news sources.
Not one to my knowledge has used the Daily KOS , Moveon.org , or the Huffington Post.
They know that these sources are polluted with hate and far left rhetoric and are not considered serious news sources by any one other than far left loons like you.
So keep it coming as I love showing all your true colors.

Shit for Brains,
We are so impressed.
Words from the one time you've been published, a sophomoric (as in high school) effort in RamRepublic which has all of the staggering presence and importance of a church newsletter.
"At eighteen I joined the Army... . I served three years. ... My stepson Garth went to war. ... I never said my service made me better than any other citizen of this country. ... Craig is a California resident with a stepdaughter attending CSU."
If we didn't know about you before, your boasting to any observant reader has made it clear now. You remain a full-fledge and mature asshole, Grampa.

You mean that Ramrepublic you lied about not knowing anything about.
All the information you have has been on the collegian in the archives for months pinhead. So you discovered nothing.
I did however get you to read my article and the RamRepublic by your own ignorant admission.
Man that was to easy.
You are like a little puppet that I tell to dance and you do.
Guess you won't be able to denigrate the CSU students in the RamRepublic anymore by saying you don't know anything about it. After all you just read it.
God you have got to be the biggest , simple minded , moron on the planet.
But hey WORD NAZI you just go right ahead ranting about me it amuses me.
You are truly the gift that keeps on giving by posting one blunder after another.
And yes I can tell it is you because as I have zeroed in on your identity your posts have gotten progressively full of vitriol and uncontrolled anger.
It is priceless.
So by all means continue your blithering idiotarian , vacuous , rants.
They simply provide my point.
You are the one trying to censor and make some silly rules about who can and can't post based on their political views that you don't like.
Then you make sure we know that is the case by trashing fellow students ( supposedly even though I know your not at CSU ) and the RanRepublic , proving it is not me your angry with it is anything conservative as evidenced by the far left hate sites you list as credible news sources.
So once again you are the WORD NAZI and I challenge anyone to find a post anywhere on the Internet where I try to ask for anyone to not post or get kicked or in any way censor their free speech rights.
And since free speech is part of the American Constitution , and you want to limit it for such silly reasons as I am not a local , then that makes you the KING of ANTI AMERICANISM.
You would destroy the constitution to keep me from kicking your liberal derriere all over these threads.
Now that is unamerican.
So thanks for showing the thin skinned and intolerant left at its best. I could not have done it without your NAZI rants.
Now any other constitutionally protected rights we have that you want to suspend. ROFLMAO

The excuse given for this program is that the Bush Administration wouldn't be able to track criminals if they had to get a warrant due to emerging technologies. What they don't tell you is they have always had 72 hours to get a warrant. Spy now, warrant later. A more compliant court has never existed. Since 1978, 99.99% of the warrants were approved. This is really about DOCUMENTATION! This isn't about listening in on the vast and benign conversations of most Americans. This is about building files on political colleagues and enemies. This is about using blackmail to insure lockstep vote compliance with bad Bush Administration legislation.
The Democrats caved, NOT because they feared being labeled soft on terror, they caved because they sat in on congressional hearings, were briefed on this illegal program (and many others including torture and rendition), AND DID NOTHING. Their tacit approval makes them complicit. The retroactive immunity was not stripped from the bill because it was bought and paid for; the telecoms spent $13+ million lobbying for this bill.
This would have been an excellent opportunity for the Democrats to stand up for the Constitution in true liberal (meaning liberty) fashion. Unfortunately, there are few true statesmen around anymore. Congress-including Barak Obama-stood down to a president with a 78% disapproval rating, proving that the Bush Administration Stasi have built an impressive set of files.
Do you feel safer without the 4th amendment? What a pathetic shame.
