The Antichrist didn't even get top billing
Abstract:
There's been a lot of umbrage lately over this season's newest bombastic PG fantasy epic, The Golden Compass.
For you umbrage aficionados out there, it may be very reminiscent of the controversy a few years back surrounding a then-pretender to the Potter throne, not-so-coincidentally titled The Golden Compass....

Also I would like to see all the Charity organizations that are owned and run by just atheist. I am waiting.
When there is a disaster that the government can't respond to , it has been and will continue to be the churches that take care of the people.
Not many atheist soup kitchens in our major cities , but there are tens of thousands of church sponsored missions for the homeless and needy.
Oh yea and this movie is no where near the blockbuster the producers thought it would be. I guess the 84% of America that is Christian just doesn't support this movie.
I once heard of an art exhibit where the artist urinated on a picture of Christ. I did not need to see that in person to form an opinion and to know it offended me. So I don't want to hear this tired old Liberal rant that if you don't see it you can't complain about it.
I will not be seeing the Golden Compass and any one that asks me will be told I am not seeing it.
Whether you support this author , in his books or this movie he said what he said and he can't take it back. When you say the words " Kill God " in any context I find that offensive. I will go out on a limb here and say that any real CHRISTian would be offended.
You can package it pretty and attach all the Liberal labels you want , you can't change the fact that the author of these books uttered those words.
Can you imagine a movie just like the golden compass , only the catholic church , CHRISTianity , and God were replaced by Islam and Allah. The movie would be closed before it opened and if it did open thousands would die from the Islamic backlash.
But once again it is just CHRISTians that turn the other cheek , and it is in vogue for secular progressives to attack God and CHRISTians at every opportunity.
Misjudging CHRISTian charity as weakness by the Liberal secular progressive movement , is a big mistake. CHRISTians can and will fight back , and we are still the majority of this nation despite the Left and ACLU. We have been pushed to the limit and the backlash is coming.
So America is tired of the Left making Movies that trash our troops like Mark Cubans latest piece of trash. America is tired of Movies that trash God. We are just sick and tired of the Left constantly ranting to the world about how bad America is.
With every single horrible thing we have done included we are still the greatest country on earth. We give more in charity by far than the rest of the world. We support the UN on our shores and pay 2/3 of it's operating costs while it does nothing for Darfur or other hot spots and spends our money trashing the United States.
So I wish the Golden Compass nothing but the failure it deserves.
I think you've taken your argument a little too broadly. You've attacked atheists and liberals but it really isn't that complicated. Phillup Pullman is a British author (not a member of the American left) who wrote a critically acclaimed and popular fantasy trilogy that contained his personal beliefs about religion and Christianity. The books were poplular enough that an American studio decided to make a movie about the first book. Worried about the religous themes, they removed Pullman's editorial comments when writing the screenplay. I realize that Pullman is controversial and some find his opinions offensive, but there is no need to threaten revenge against all liberals because a movie is coming out based on one of his books.
On a side note, many atheists are actually really good people who care about others and participate in charities and other good works. Some atheists (like some Chrisitians) can be awfully insulting and combative, but this doesn't necessarily mean all atheists are this way.

I don't think he was trying to attack Christianity, but more calling in to question why some Christians felt threatened by the movie. I haven't seen it or read the book, but from what I hear it goes against Christianity to some degree, and so it shouldn't be surprising that it is offensive to some.
I think the point Ryan was trying to make is that an animated movie, or really any movie, should by itself be able to sway any Christians away from their faith. If parents are worried about this and don't want their children to see it, that is absolutely their right, but like he said, how strong is their faith if it is called into question by a friendly CG polar bear.
The book, and probably the movie to a lesser degree, are one authors opinion of Christianity and should be taken as such. People are free to make their own choices about it, but Ryan is just asking why people feel so threatened by the movie.

Good point Vince. My answer is just because some one may speak against something or not patronize this movie does not mean they are afraid of it or threatened by it.
I understand the question and I can't answer it from the stand point of the people who feel threatened , because I don't feel that way.
I would imagine that some CHRISTians with weak faith might feel that way. After all when some one says they are trying to kill God it might be seen as a threat.
I however know that the fastest growing religion right now is CHRISTianity. The best selling book of all times is the Bible. And with a track record like that I have little fear from the latest in a long line of atheist and others who have tried to destroy my God.
So I would say that the CHRISTians that are actually threatened by this movie are few and far between and have a problem with their faith.
How ever do not attach that label to all who criticize and boycott the movie. I do not have to be afraid of something to fight it. That would be a false assumption.
Nice talking to you Vince. Merry CHRISTmas to ya.

I don't have a problem, as a Fundamentalist Protestant with divergent viewpoints. I do have a problem, as the father of a 5 year old daughter, with exposing her to entertainment that says her parents are wrong, and she should ignore them.
This movie is fine for those who are of an age to make their own choices. My only problem with it, is the fact it's geared toward those who aren't that intellectually developed yet.
I acknowledge that I am propagandizing my belief structure to my daughter. Since I want her to grow up with the same sense of ethics, and basic belief structure as I have, that would be called "raising a child". When she reaches an age where she is capable of critical thought, I will encourage her exploration, and respect her choices. Until then?
I will not confuse her, nor undermine my authority as her parent, by exposing her to something so contradictory to my own beliefs.
Anyone else want to go see "Golden Compass"? Welcome to it. I won't be marching a picket line, but I'll be voting with my dollars.

Hi KMD I guess from your comments you are not a Christian. Well God bless you , some one should. I guess you non Christians can't read. The movie is not doing nearly as well as the producers predicted and they are whining like little girls.
FYI , we Christians do not get beside our sleves over anything. We express opinions and we have just as much right as any other American to do so and to boycott what ever we choose.
Typical of people like you to try and cheap shot Christians because of your own ignorance and self doubt.
You see the world knows that by nature Christians turn the other cheek. So mindless , people with an inferiority complex , that need to put others down as the only way to build their pitiful selves up , see and easy target.
Maybe you would like to trash some children or other group you think will not take you on. Real brave person aren't you.
You are like the mindless sheep that jumps onto the latest band wagon. This week it's attack the Christians and next week you'll pick another target that you think is easy.
I guess you forgot that this country was founded on Christian principles whether you like it or not. Now I know you secular progressives have been trying to kick God out of the country for ever , but 84% of the country is still Christain.
I guess you people really bite at your job. Oh yea what is the best selling book in the history of mankind. Damn it is the Bible another black mark on our secular record.
People like you are pathetic, predictable , sad , and should garner pity.
One last thing. Doctors now confirm that people of faith will live on average three years longer than people with out faith in their lives.
So yea you are a real brain trust. If there is no God ( and there is ) I would still be smarter to believe in him as I can live longer that way. If I die and I don't go to heaven , I won't know it so I lose nothing. Believing in God is a win , win proposition all around.
Hey but you just keep living in your Harry Potter delusion and think you are winning some kind of deluded contes that only exsist in your mind.
And I will finish with a hearty Merry CHRISTman to you and may God Bless you.
LOL!

There seems to be a lot misconception about this country being founded on Christian principles, if not outright lies. Less than ten percent of the founding fathers went to church on a regular basis. Nearly all were freemasons and when they used the word god, they never mentioned a christian god. If you have some doubt about this I suggest you read article 11 in 'The Treaty of Tripoli' signed by our founding fathers with the Muslim's
of the Barbary coast. There is nothing in the constitution and the bill of rights promoting christianity, even democracy was never mentioned till nearly the first world war. Say the pledge of allegiance slowly and the word republic seems to take prominence. Even 'under god' wasn't added until the 1950's.

3. People of faith on the avg. live 3 years longer than those of no faith.

Also I answered your diatribe but you can't address the facts in my last post , so you attack me instead of the issue.
I will not sink to your level. You see people of faith can't be beside them selves in an argument with a person like you. I know where I am going after I die so I am not the one with no future that is lost. Uncertainty and fear of the unknown are all you have to look forward to , so I can understand your hatred of Christianity.
Until you can address the facts I stated in my last post you just look inept and pathetic and have marginalized your self and your argument.
I am spiritual not religious. Look up the difference. So your inquisition comment is ludicrous and of base like most of what you say.
I'll pray for you. That should really tick you off , but that is what Christians do.
So once again GOD BLESS. I can see you squirming now.
P.S. do some research and you will find Christianity is still the fastest growing religion in the world. So you enjoy your lonely anti God , tiny niche in our society. You and your ilk will always be such.
You are like a fly on an elephants derriere , annoying but hardly a threat. LOL!
Grow up and maybe we can have an adult conversation.

One must be responsible for ones words. Mr. Pullman actually has been documented saying he wants to " Kill God " his words.
Now I disagree with atheist , but they have a right to believe what they want. What would be the equivalent for a Christian. Atheist do not have a God so would it be to kill Mr. Pullman? Of course not , because we Christians would never make a disgusting statement like that.
I see that Mr. Pullman hates God so he should be a man of conviction and hate all Gods. Hating only the Christian God makes him a big hypocrite. So he is not even a true atheist as he never attacks any other Gods.
I wonder why he doesn't blast Allah just as much as Christ. I'll tell you why. Because he is a big coward and a hypocrite of the worst kind. I might even be able to respect the courage of his convictions if he attacked all Gods , but by picking out Christ he isn't even being true to his atheist convictions.
Like I said he is a coward and knows if he attacked Allah he would be dead within a week.
So yes when you tell me you want to kill my God , I will fight you. The difference is I feel sorry for Pullman and people like KMD I do not want to kill them but save them from themselves.
But many people mistake Christians turning the other cheek as a sign of weakness. Those people make a big mistake.

Sheesh, some of you christians need to mellow out a bit, take a jesus pill or something. By the way, seriously speaking, there is a draft working its way around Washington political circles about imposing a type of 'church tax'. Look for this to surface after the Democrats take the White House next fall. Apparently it is felt that if the church wants to enter into politics it should not be funded by a tax free base.

As far as a tax on religion goes so what. Is that supposed to intimidate Christians or something. Hilarious. I am a spiritual person not a religious one. I guess that would make your tax irrelevant to me.
I guess KMD still won't just deal with one simple fact I have posted numerous times and he chooses to ignore because there is nothing he can say that will refute it.
The Bible was , is and will be the best selling book of all time. So following any atheist's premise that God doesn't exist then you would have to believe the human race was deceived by a group of men that made up the best selling book of all times.
Take a Jesus pill indeed. LOL! If that pill identifies me with the 84% of Americans that believe in Jesus and not with you my troubled KMD then I will take two please.
Watch once again as KMD changes the subject , creates a make believe competition or any other distraction rather then dealing with and admitting that God's Book is #1.

If you read the bible from cover to cover you may come to believe that this christian god is a violent paranoid schizophrenic that needs killing, or at least confinement.

Keep talking KMD you just make my point by avoiding the facts I listed for you. Your argument is weak.
I have read the Bible from cover to cover and back in my religious days won the New York State Bible competition , so I will not be needing any lessons from you today young man.
You sound like a broken record. Christians , according to you , go into to meltdown over these movies. He defines melting down as any one that disagrees with the movie , has the audacity to use their right to free speech about their feelings and beliefs , and chooses to exercise their right to not go and support it. I know he is young so forgive him.

Silly argument on it's face.
Then you go on to insult most of America and God. You are one class act man. NOT! Note to others , you may want to stand clear of KMD. LOL!
So you ignore every argument that Christians pose for you because you have no answer ( showing all who read your posts your a weak minded young legend in your own mind ) , yet you try to lay the intimidated title on us.
Could it be any more clear that it is KMD that is intimidated and refuses to answer any of the Christians assertions , while making statements completely void of factual back up.
You really are sad. Don't give up your day job , because you really are pathetic at debate. LOL!
Let's see if I can bait him again in front of every one.
FACTS I am waiting for you to dispute. Let me try something your small Liberal mind can grasp.
For you these facts are an inconvenient truth.
1. Bible best selling book of all time.
2. People of faith on average live three years longer than those who have none.
3. The fastest growing religion on the planet is still Christianity.
Ok folks , get that microwave popcorn , settle back and watch KMD ignore these indisputable facts , as he makes up fake arguments about intimidated Christians simply because they are exercising their free speech rights. Man that argument will not fly in F bomb free speech haven of Fort Collins KMD. LOL!
Should I thank God for making KMD's arguments so inane , or do you think that might push him over the edge. LOL!
Merry CHRISTmas KMD :)

Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian
10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.
9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.
8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.
7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!
6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.
5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.
4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."
3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.
2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.
1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

Wow I did not believe it was possible for KMD to fall for it one more time.
Advice for KMD , it is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool , than to open it and remove all doubt. LOL!
He wrote more than a paragraph , must really be getting to him.
KMD , the few the cowardly , the hiding behind a nick cyber geek. LMAO!
Now let's take everything KMD said and he still can't change the fact that Christianity is the fastest growing religion on earth. Bible still is the best selling book of all time and we people of faith will live 3 years longer.
Why does KMD refuse to answer this? Because he can't so he tries to attack Christians calling them stupid. He calls god names and insults most of the planet for believing in him.
He makes false statements about how much I know about my Bible. At the risk of bragging , ( since he brought it up ) , I have forgotten more about the Church and Bible than KMD and his atheist buddies will ever learn. Any time KMD would like to join the real world and stop hiding behind his nick , I would debate him live where he can't go to his computer to look up things and seem informed.
It just kills him that after all his silly arguments he has not convinced one Christians to abandon God. Yet Christians have shown the light to many atheists , and others he lists as the arbiters of truth.
If any of what KMD says was working then instead of Christianity growing faster than all other religions it would be losing people.
Could it be that KMD and his ilk are just sore losers. Me thinks he doth protest to much. I think KMD is a closet Christian. LOL!
With all the human flaws KMD likes to point out God still is more appealing to the human race than KMD. Sorry man , deal with it.
You sound like silly Liberals who trash America and all it's problems ignoring the fact it is still the only country on earth people risk death to break into.
Since religion ( all of it ) , is man made then it will always have flaws. That is why long ago I gave up on religion and became spiritual. KMD is just another cyber geek hiding behind his nick. At least some of you kids had the guts to list your real names and come out from behind your screens.
It takes no courage to have convictions that no one knows you have and you never have to defend in the real world. You see KMD is the kind of guy that trash's Christians but if they had a rally in real life he would probably claim to be one since he is such a coward.
Let's see if he will ignore those pesky facts I listed and continue to spout his diatribes without addressing the big three.
Come on KMD with all those facts how could it possibly be that God is winning and not you. Oh yea that's right he is God and well you are YOU! LOL!
Better luck next time. God Bless!

Apparently Christianity not only indulges in hypocrisy and deceit, it also likes to dabble in plagiarism
Does the cult of Horus prove that Christianity is false?
Some parallels between Horus and Jesus Christ:
1. Horus born of a virgin. Jesus born of a virgin.
2. The foster father of Horus was Seb or Seph. Jesus was fostered by Joseph.
3. Horus was of royal descent. Jesus was of royal descent.
4. Horus birth accompanied by three solar deities [star gazers] who followed by the morning star of Sirius bearing gifts. Jesus birth accompanied by three wise men [Zoroastrian star gazers] who followed by a star "in the east" bearing gifts.
5. The birth of Horus announced by angels. The birth of Jesus announced by angels.
6. Herut tried to murder the infant Horus. Herod slaughtered every first born in an attempt to kill Jesus the forthcoming messiah.
7. Horus is baptized at age 30 by Anup the Baptiser at a river. Jesus is baptized at age 30 by John the Baptist at a river.
8. Horus resists temptation by the evil Sut [Sut was to be the precursor for the Hebrew Satan] on a high mountain. Jesus resists temptation by Satan on a high mountain.
9. Horus had 12 followers. Jesus had 12 disciples.
10. Horus performed miracles like healing the sick and walking on water. Jesus performed miracles like healing the sick and walking on water.
11. Horus raised someone from the grave [his father Osiris] Jesus raised Lazarus [notice the name similarity] from the grave. Lazarus is short for Elasarus - the "us" on the end is romanized. Elasarus was derived from "El-Asar" which was the name given to Osiris.
12. Horus was buried and resurrected in the city of Anu. The place Bethany mentioned in John was a derivative of the words "Bet" and "Anu" which translates "the house of Anu". The 'y' on the end of bethany is interchangeable with the letter 'u'.
13. Horus was killed by crucifixtion. Jesus was crucified.
14. Horus was accompanied by two thieves at the crucifixtion. Jesus was crucified with two thieves.
15. Horus was buried in a tomb at Anu. Jesus was buried in a tomb located in Bethany [Bet-Anu].
16. Horus was resurrected after 3 days. Jesus was "said" to resurrected after over a period of three days.
17. The resurrection of Horus was announced by three women. The resurrection of Jesus was announced by three women.
18. Horus was given the title KRST which means "anointed one" Jesus was given the title Christ [Christos] meaning "anointed one"

You witnessed it here folks the deterioration of KMD from just absurd to insane. Sad really.
He is so insane with rage at the simple fact no matter what he says most of the planet is either religious or spiritual , that he is going nuts scouring the Internet to find anything he can to destroy God.
Silly boy you can't destroy God. Better men than you have tried for ever and have failed just as often.
I feel sorry for you as your heart is so hardened by the world you do not know the absolute joy of knowing the creator on a personal basis. I will pray that God and the Holy Spirit some how reach out and touch your heart and show you the complete absence of fear in your life that knowing what is ahead brings.
Most violence and negative emotions are caused in some way by the root of fear. When you truly know God , fear no longer has hold of your life. You can live in a world of full potential , free from doubt , fear and negative emotions.
I can't tell you how many times strangers have walked up to me and asked why are you so happy. What have you got in your life that makes you exude such joy and confidence.
I have to tell them it is God and his divine intervention in my life. It is real and something I have experienced in a real way for over 40 years.
I used to be much like KMD. Hated God. My Dad was a minister and I was a rebellious little ass. I wanted nothing to do with God. I carried a gun , hung out with a small group of guys , and called ourselves a gang. LOL!
I was a punk and acted like one. I've been shot at and shot at people and their houses and cars. I have been in jail. I did it all.
And through all that stupid waste of time , God never forgot me. He just whispered in the back of my mind. I finally listened and gave my life to him , and it has been the best decision I have ever made. It changed my life and allowed me to really live and enjoy that life for the first time.
I am absolutely guilt free now. I have absolute assurance that through the blood of Jesus Christ I am saved and my flaws are covered in his righteousness. It is a feeling I can only describe as complete freedom.
Now there will be people like KMD that are lost , lonely and bitter , that will curse my Lord and me. But their soulless attempts to discourage me only work to strengthen my faith in my Savior and the light of my life.
People with no faith will never understand people of FAITH. So KMD can understand a little of what I know , I offer this exercise.
Try to scientifically quantify human emotions. Why do we love some more than others. Why is their a seemingly hard wired need to worship something greater than our selves built into every baby. Why do I get sad and cry. You get the point.
You will never even put a chip in the FAITH of a spiritual person that has experienced Gods love MD so trying to is the ultimate exercise in futility.
Merry CHRISTmas my friend. I know there is good in you because God made you and every one else on the planet. God Bless

And now to the lighter side.
A serpent is the first indication to Harry that he has access to special powers that will cause his angry foster father to become jealous and kick him out of his house.
A serpent is the first indication to Eve that she has access to special knowledge that will cause her angry Father to become jealous and kick her out of his garden.
Harry Potter had his friends eat Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, which taste like grass and Brussels sprouts -- but they are not!
God had people in the Old Testament eat things that taste like human dung and human urine -- because they are! (2 Kings18:27)
Harry uses a piece of wood to fly on.
Jesus uses a piece of wood to die on.
Harry's pet sidekick is a white owl called "Hedwig". (named after a transgender German cabaret singer)
Jesus' pet sidekick is a white dove called "Holy Spirit".
The wise owl follows each child, delivering letters, allowing people to communicate with each other.
The not-so-smart dove hovers over people, getting them to flop about on the cheap carpeting of Pentecostal churches and spout unintelligible "tongues," making it impossible for them to communicate with each other.
Hermione entertains friends by raising a feather from the desk.
Jesus entertains friends by raising a rotting corpse from the dust.
Hogwarts magic potions use glamorous ingredients like root of asphodel and unicorn blood.
The Lord uses very pedestrian ingredients for His magic potions. For example, the potion to make a woman's abdomen swell and her thighs waste away to find out is she has been unfaithful (Numbers 5:27) is made of nothing more exciting than water and dirt from the floor. (Numbers 5:17)
In Harry Potter, only the villains try to kill people. In the Bible, the hero (God), using floods, pestilence and 12 tribes of bloodthirsty Israelites, is the one who holds the Guinness Book of Records title for "Most Killed in an Afternoon".
Hogwarts students eat jellybeans that taste like ear wax and snot
Christians go one step further, eating bread that tastes like human flesh and wine that tastes like human blood.
Harry is conceived by married parents and his father died to protect him from being killed.
Jesus is conceived by unmarried parents and his father only had him so that he would be killed.
Enjoy-

KMD proof that a mind is a terrible thing. LOL!
And now the lighter side. Come on man at least don't rip off my stuff.
KMD lives in a dark lonely place. Hard to feel sorry for him though as he seems to revel in it.
Come on admit it KMD you are a Dungeons and Dragons player that has taken it off the board. LOL!
This latest post is so full of out right lies and inaccuracies it is laughable by any serious thinking person.
Please world read and be amazed at the level of hatred KMD has Christ and Christians. He starts his posts condemning Christians for being upset about the Golden Compass and then deteriorates with each post until we arrive at the last one.
I am sorry that yo live with such hate in your heart and that you are not honest enough to admit it.
The rest of us spiritual and religious people of the planet Earth will enjoy the Holidays. You may have brought a few people to God with your obvious hate and ignorance , but I guarantee you that no person of faith has been swayed by your childish rants.
In the old vanacular , you can take a KMD to water but you can't make him drink. LOL!
So for every argument KMD comes up with he loses. For his argument to be any good it must convince his audience and at this he has failed miserably like thousands before him.
I don't hate you KMD I pity you. You have chosen your path and it is lonely and full of negatives. You have nothing to look forward to except the pitiful world of hate you surround your self with. What a waste.
And last but certainly not least , next time you have a thought KMD just " let it go ". LOL!

Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear.

KMD still losing in 2007 and will be losing in 2008.
He still doesn't get it. No matter how many quotes you use God is still #1 in the world.
No matter how many times you curse him or those that serve him he is still #1.
No matter what you say or do you can't escape the argument crusher that God is #1.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different results. So clearly you are insane.
You stick your head in the sand so you can ignore my facts then spout your gibberish , looking for the impossible.
You can talk until ( excuse the phrase ) hell freezes over ( lol ) , and you will have accomplished nothing except to read your own worthless posts.
But hey even crazy people have rights to speak.
I was willing to die in the Military for your right to be wrong in America.
Nice to see you exercising that right.
Merry CHRISTmas & God Bless
All future posts should be sent to Sunnyvale Mental Health Facility where KMD is now residing.
Keeps mumbling something about " I'll get you God ". LMAO!

Abraham Lincoln
"The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma."
- Abraham Lincoln, American president (1809-1865).
-John Adams, U.S. President, Founding Father of the United States
"Where do we find a precept in the Bible for Creeds, Confessions, Doctrines and Oaths, and whole carloads of other trumpery that we find religion encumbered with in these days?"
"The divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity."
"This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it."
Albert Einstein
"I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religion than it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."
"I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotism."
"I do not believe in the immortality of the individual, and I consider ethics to be an exclusively human concern with no superhuman authority behind it."
"If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for a reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed."
-Albert Einstein, German-born American physicist
Samuel Clemens "Mark Twain"
"Faith is believing something you know ain't true."
"If Christ were here now there is one thing he would not be -- a Christian."
"It (the Bible) is full of interest. It has noble poetry in it; and some clever fables; and some blood-drenched history; and some good morals; and a wealth of obscenity; and upwards of a thousand lies."
"A man is accepted into a church for what he believes and he is turned out for what he knows."
"Our Bible reveals to us the character of our god with minute and remorseless exactness... It is perhaps the most damnatory biography that exists in print anywhere. It makes Nero an angel of light ... by contrast."
"I cannot see how a man of any large degree of humorous perception can ever be religious -- unless he purposely shut the eyes of his mind & keep them shut by force."
"If there is a God, he is a malign thug."
"'In God We Trust.' I don't believe it would sound any better if it were true."
"It ain't the parts of the Bible that I can't understand that bother me, it is the parts that I do understand."
"Man is a marvelous curiosity . . . he thinks he is the Creator's pet . . . he even believes the Creator loves him; has a passion for him; sits up nights to admire him; yes and watch over him and keep him out of trouble. He prays to him and thinks He listens. Isn't it a quaint idea." [Letters from the Earth]
Mr. Clemens was once asked whether he feared death. He said that he did not, in view of the fact that he had been dead for billions and billions of years before he was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.
- Samuel Clemens "Mark Twain", American author and humorist (1835-1910).

What a crack up KMD is this where I list all the people who believe in Christianity.
This is not some demented contest you made up in your mind.
Bottom line is no matter who you list they are in the minority. You can't get past that fact.
Your responses are like listing all the losing teams in history. The have some impressive players on those teams , but they are all still LOSERS.
Nothing you can say or do will change that so your pathetic attempts to change human history just makes you look desperate and weak.
If any one except my self and KMD are still on this little ride , here comes another tirade ignoring the facts and listing either some kind of similar link between God and Harry Potter or a list of people that said they don't like Christians.
Of course none of this changes the fact that the Bible is the best selling book in history.
It does not change the fact that Christianity is the fastest growing religion on Earth.
KMD sill beating his foolish head against that rock. Here is one of those Jess pills you told me to take for that headache man. LOL!
Ten years from now KMD will still be posting the same things and nothing will have changed.
OK KMD the stage is yours so get on the Internet and type in God haters or something and let us know some more useless stats that do not change my premise of this argument.
If you want to save some effort you can just say Samuel Clemens I know who he was. LOL!
So I will just keep making those two winning points and KMD can spend the rest of his life trying to show us all the people that hate God.

=Another one of Christianity's finest hour=
A River of Blood
And Yield They Did.
In 1122 Christian crusaders swept over Jerusalem and slaughtered men, women and children, 'until their horses were knee deep in blood. We then went to the church to thank the Lord for his mercy.'
In 777 , Charlemagne, a devout Christian, after conquering the Saxon rebels, gave them a choice between baptism and execution. When they refused to convert, he had 4500 of them beheaded in one morning.
In the fourth century, Emporor Constantine, the first Roman Emperor to become a Christian, had over 3000 Christians executed because their interpretation of the Bible did not agree with his. That is more than the number of Christians who died at the hands of the Romans during the well known 1st century "Christians to the lions" persecutions.
The above are from William Manchester's "A World Lit Only by Fire- The Medieval Mind and The Renaissance"..Little, Brown & Company, 1992
"Christian" Child Abuse
By Rev. Marie M. Fortune
From "Working Together," Fall, 1983
The news article "He Beats Up Kids for Glory of God" describing the death of a child in a religious commune is only the most recent revelation in the local and national media of death or severe injury inflicted on children. The brutal details of the incidents are disturbing. But what is most disturbing is the number of recent cases of child abuse have occurred in an explicitly religious context. "Christian punishment" which results in the death of a child cannot be dismissed as the activity of an aberrant religious cult or simply the result of an individual's pathology. The Christian community can remain silent no longer hoping that each case will be the last and that no one will notice that those who are brutalizing the children in these situations are Christians -- and are using their Christianity to justify their acts.

KMD must spend his life cutting and pasting. Every one knows how to do that KMD.
With all this blood, with all your insults against God , with every thing you say you just make my convictions stronger and you change nothing.
Does the phrase exercise in futility mean anything to you. If you are a college student you need remedial help. Any freshman 101 debate class would teach you that you can't win this argument.
Everything you quote makes KMD think he has chipped away at God's armor , yet how much more amazing and miraculous that God is still #1.
You are like a man that digs a hole and puts the dirt back in the same hole. You accomplish nothing , and defeat your own purpose.
You hate God so much you have lost all perspective and it shows in your posts. Not that your posts mean your smart they just mean you have a computer and know how to cut and paste.
I on the other hand just list those three things I have since the beginning of our discourse and I'm finished and kick your derriere every time.
Debating you is like fighting my little sister , to easy and not very satisfying. LOL!
God Bless KMD and don't worry I am not going to kill you in the name of Jesus or something else as far fetched. I pity you , not hate you which is more than I can say for you.
If Christianity and God were so horrible why wouldn't you just dismiss them and feel sorry for their misguided ways. No you really hate God and Christians as your posts show. Go to your doctor and ask him what hate does to emotions and stress levels. Killing your self and you don't even know it. How ignorant is that.
But there is hope there is a guy I know named Jesus that can flood you with joy and happiness and replace your obvious venomous emotional state with peace. You'll live longer. LOL!

English Catholics suffered horribly under Protestant regimes. American historian William T. Walsh writes: "In Britain, 30,000 went to the stake for witchcraft; in Protestant Germany, the figure was 100,000" (, p. 275). In Scotland, too, alleged witches were cruelly put to death. Karl Keating quotes from the : "It is well-known that belief in the justice of punishing heresy with death was so common among the 16th-century Reformers-Luther, Zwingli, Calvin, and their adherents-that we may say their toleration began where their power ended" (C.E., s.v., "Inquisition," 8:35).
The church encouraged ignorance among the general populace: Saint Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153), the most influential Christian of his time, bore a deep distrust of the intellect and declared "that the pursuit of knowledge, unless sanctified by a holy mission, was a pagan act and therefore vile."
A Safe Heaven for Pedophiles
What you're about to read will probably be upsetting to most of you. As you read through the newspaper article references provided in this series, keep in mind that these people aren't NAMBLA (North Amercan Man/Boy Love Association) members; they're not vague "Satanists," Mafia kingpins, or heroin addicts. They're Christian Clergy of all brand names.
They're the priests, ministers, preachers, and religious "leaders" of our communities. They're the same moral "leaders" who scream from their pulpits about the "evils of homosexuality" and the "sin of fornication." They're the same "leaders" who demand all men (they rarely mention women) need "redemption" that "only the good lord Jesus Christ!" can provide.
A few of you might want to close your eyes and glibly claim, "Oh, but they're not True Christians" and thereby sluff the epidemic problem off of your shoulders and try to pretend it's someone else's problem. If you want to play that game then you're responsible for allowing it to continue unchecked. If you want to pretend Christians some how stop being Christians when they rape their first child, then YOU are responsible for allowing it to continue. The fact is that ending child abuse is the responsibility of all of us.
There are four unavoidable facts here:
• 1: The problem of Christian clergy child sexual abuse is so epidemic in Westernized socities that the "Sodomizing Priest" has become both stereotypical and cliche. It's not limited to one particular brand name of Christianity; it's not an aspect of ideological differences; it's epidemic to all Christian brand names.
• 2: Christianity doesn't create child-abusing pedophiles in numbers lesser than or greater than any other deity-oriented religion. What the Christian clergy does provide is a safe heaven for pedophiles. If Christianity were to finally be educated out of the world populace, these pedophiles would find some other "excuse."

Hi, Craig.
You might want to update your sound bites and "facts" a bit. While Christianity is still the most influential religion in the US, the percentage of Americans who call themselves Christian is experiencing a downward trend, dropping roughly 1 percentage point each year (see the American Religious Identification Survey). While in sheer numbers more Americans call themselves Christian every year, this increase is less than the population increase. In 1990 86.2% of the population considered themselves to be Christian, but in 2001 that number had dropped to 76.5%, and most demographers feel that it has continued to decline. The same 2001 study showed that the number of people considering themselves Wiccan was doubling every 30 months, so that might be the fastest growing religion, from a percentage perspective.

Still the majority religion and I am not religious I am spiritual there's a difference , read earlier posts.
And your right I should have specified religions in the norm. I could make a religion today called Craigism , and then convince 4 other people to join and claim I am the fastest growing religion at 400%. I am sure you get my point. LOL! I am sure there are other religions even farther on the fringe than Wiccans that have even more impressive stats. LMAO!
Also don't see your argument about bible or longer life for faith based lives.
God Bless

"When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross."
- Sinclair Lewis
Gene Roddenberry
"I condemn false prophets, I condemn the effort to take away the power of rational decision, to drain people of their free will--and a hell of a lot of money in the bargain. Religions vary in their degree of idiocy, but I reject them all. For most people, religion is nothing more than a substitute for a malfunctioning brain."
"We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes."
-Gene Roddenberry, Creator of Star Trek (1921-1991).
Galileo Galilei
"They know that it is human nature to take up causes whereby a man may oppress his neighbor, no matter how unjustly. ... Hence they have had no trouble in finding men who would preach the damnability and heresy of the new doctrine from the very pulpit."
-Galileo Galilei, Italian astronomer
Thomas Edison
"Religion is all bunk."
"I cannot believe in the immortality of the soul.... No, all this talk of an existence for us, as individuals, beyond the grave is wrong. It is born of our tenacity of life – our desire to go on living ... our dread of coming to an end."
- Thomas Edison, American inventor (1847-1931).
Carl Sagan

-Carl Sagan, American astronomer and author
James Madison, American president and political theorist (1751-1836).
"During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What has been its fruits? More or less, in all places, pride and indolence in the clergy; ignorance and servility in the laity; in both, Famous Atheist & Quotessuperstition, bigotry, and persecution."
"In no instance have . . . the churches been guardians of the liberties of the people."
"Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise."
"What influence in fact have Christian ecclesiastical establishments had on civil society? In many instances they have been upholding the thrones of political tyranny. In no instance have they been seen as the guardians of the liberties of the people. Rulers who wished to subvert the public liberty have found in the clergy convenient auxiliaries. A just government, instituted to secure and perpetuate liberty, does not need the clergy."

Thomas Jefferson (Deist)
"History I believe furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance, of which their political as well as religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purpose. " – Thomas Jefferson to Baron von Humboldt, 1813
"The Christian god can easily be pictured as virtually the same god as the many ancient gods of past civilizations. The Christian god is a three headed monster; cruel, vengeful and capricious. If one wishes to know more of this raging, three headed beast-like god, one only needs to look at the caliber of people who say they serve him. They are always of two classes: fools and hypocrites."
"Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity." –Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia, 1782.
"And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerve in the brain of Jupiter. But may we hope that the dawn of reason and freedom of thought in these United States will do away with this artificial scaffolding, and restore to us the primitive and genuine doctrines of this most venerated reformer of human errors." –Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823
"Religions are all alike – founded upon fables and mythologies."
"I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature."
"Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man."
"It does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are 20 gods, or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."
- Thomas Jefferson, U.S. President, author, scientist, architect, educator, and diplomat

So listing Jefferson , just means he had a different idea of God but he still worshipped God.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deism
Try cutting and pasting the definition of Deist some time before you use it to try and trash God. LOL!

(CBS) This story was written and reported by Laura Strickler of the CBS News Investigative Unit.
CBS News has learned Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa, the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, is investigating six prominent televangelist ministries for possible financial misconduct.
Letters were sent Monday to the ministries demanding that financial statements and records be turned over to the committee by December 6th.
According to Grassley's office, the Iowa Republican is trying to determine whether or not these ministries are improperly using their tax-exempt status as churches to shield lavish lifestyles.
The six ministries identified as being under investigation by the committee are led by: Paula White, Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar, Eddie Long, Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn. Three of the six - Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland and Creflo Dollar - also sit on the Board of Regents for the Oral Roberts University.
Denis Diderot
"Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest.
-Denis Diderot, French philosopher, author, and encyclopedist (1713-1784).
Frank Lloyd Wright
"I believe in God, only I spell it Nature."
Frank Lloyd Wright, American architect (1869-1959).
Napoleon Bonaparte
"Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet."
"Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich."
"All religions have been made by men."-Napoleon Bonaparte, French emperor
Susan B. Anthony
"I was born a heretic. I always distrust people who know so much about what God wants them to do to their fellows."
- Susan B. Anthony, American suffragist (1820-1906).
Vincent Van Gogh
"I can very well do without God both in my life and in my painting, but I cannot, suffering as I am, do without something which is greater than I am, which is my life, the power to create."
-Vincent Van Gogh, Dutch painter

Oh KMD you used Jefferson on so many occasions and as soon as I expose the fact he believed in God you run away from him.
Cut and paste all you want you still lose. With all this horrible evidence you state ( by the way these are opinions of these people not fact so don't get them confused ), then isn't it miraculous that God still reigns. LOL!
Thank you for proving my point. Pardon this statement , but GOD YOUR EASY.

I'm sorry we haven't been able to answer all these personally but they are all pre-researched and sent out to many blog sites. You should see the returns, we've got quite a laugh here and are compiling all of them into a book. Hopefully it may become movie material. We want to especially thank the fundamental christians who are so free with their inane sniveling psycho-babble as to be hilarious. Once again, Thanks to all for their input. For those of you who wish to continue barreling down this dead end street, feel free to do so. We may even use some of your comments.
Enjoy

It will be a short book of nothing but quotes and opinions.
Here is a news flash for you , your book ( doubt there is one but you can only cut and paste so much )will still be no where close to the Bible. You say thank you for the Fundamental Christians comments but you have what 3 in the whole post. And so far these posts have been almost entirely you and me.
Your pathetic attempt at humor here at the end is neither funny or accurate.
I have a prediction. If this fictional , never going to exist book gets published it will be a short unsuccessful story in literary history.
My Dad has written 17 books some on the New York Best Sellers list. Something you'll never see. Heck I have been published over 150 times.
But you go right ahead and live in your delusional world. You are a legend in your own mind.
And all those Inane , sniveling ,CHRISTians still dwarf you and your kind. You will obviously can't deal with the fact you are not #2 , or #3 ( well maybe # 2 couldn't resist ), your not even #1000.
Let me teach you something about Psychological warfare. You do not let the opponent know when they have gotten to you. You on the other hand have told me and the world , that I got to you so much that you have elevated me to a status in your life that requires you to write a book. You have given me and Fundamental CHRISTians that kind of power and control in your life. We are consuming your thoughts and time.
I on the other hand do not need to write a book about you , as your posts speak volumes of your hatred and inability to even address let alone explain the three points I made in many posts. The world can read what you wrote here and see who posted endless diatribes and was intimidated , full of hate and refused to answer the points the CHRISTians made , showing you could not answer the Christians only criticize them.
I live in Los Angeles and have many movie and music contacts here. I have been on several shows and I can tell the world here that there is no chance in hell your non existent book will ever make a movie.
All I have to do is list those pesky three facts I listed here that you , being the coward you are , refused to answer , and your movie project , would die a horrible death. LOL!
So as we big farewell to KMD we see that nothing has changed , God is still #1 and KMD and his ilk are no where on the chart let alone a threat to him or CHRISTians.
GOD BLESS KMD

Please don't bother KMD from now on as he and his literary geniuses will be writing their book.
I got a advance copy and it goes something like this.
See KMD run, run run run. See KMD curse GOD ,curse curse curse. Watch KMD play the fool , fool fool fool.
Wonderful book but I think he plagiarized it from a book I used to read. You remember " Fun with Dick and Jane ". LOL!

Sorry but right or wrong , real or not , living longer appeals to me.
