I graduated last semester after five years of hard work and only minimal loan debt. I too am engaged and expecting to marry next fall. Having been through numerous tuition hikes myself, I can safely say that I agree with Pride's assertation that the school doesn't always spend OUR hard-earned money wisely. I remember paying $80 for a parking pass even though I usually ended up parking on some street next to the university that was much further than any of the over-crowded parking lots. Why did the school then spend more money on lounges and things for buildings I never even passed by? It's a dilemma for the ages that may never be solved. But Pride's fiance needs to understand that although a wedding is something to be excited about, it's not worth scrimping on your education or going into more debt.

I think saying that "the school doesn't always spend OUR hard-earned money wisely" is a huge understatement. I think that spending $90k on a free concert from some rapper speaks for itself. Whoever is in charge of making the decisions with this money needs to really think about where that money is coming from before they willy-nilly spend it on unnecessary things.

Got to agree with Alan. He is right on about the rap concert. There are rappers that don't go gansta. For the school to ask a guy that routinely glorifies violence to perform after all the school shootings is reprehensible.

There excuse. He wasn't going to talk about killing people that night. What? Are you morons. Under that logic I think I'll tell the Grand Wizard of the KKK he can speak at CSU as long as he doesn't talk about hanging blacks. I am sick and tired of these Rapper cowards playing the thug life to make money and then somehow magically separate themselves from what they created and want to be civilized.

Great example for the young kids. Hey if I act like an irresponsible jerk and talk about my 9mil ad putting a cap in your derriere, maybe someday I'll get 90,000 for a show at CSU. Disgusting.

There was no knowledge being imparted by this Gansta whimp. I think there are a lot of things that would have been better to spend all that cash on. How about any charity or church in your community. How about some of those books or other things the college need to actually learn.

Waste of time and money.
