Allen remembered at service, Price charged with vehicular homicide
Abstract:
Nearly 300 people gathered Friday afternoon, at the CSU Oval, to honor and remember avid cyclist and CSU faculty member Rebecca Allen who died July 22 when she was hit by a car while riding her bike.
Allen was wearing her helmet when she got hit. The motorist, Daniel Price, is being charged with vehicular homicide....

Good point safety dude. I remember when I rode a bike I also saw people wearing a clip on their pants on the chain side to keep pants from getting caught in the chain.
Of course we had bell bottoms. LOL! But hey from what I have seen some retro kids wear those now.
I think that was awesome that so many biked to the services. I am sure she is looking down and smiling at that.

It is nice to see that everyone wanted to praise the victim by coming to services riding a bike as she did, with flip-flops.
While such a demonstration is heart-felt and consequently worthy of praise, be aware, please, it is not advisable, for safety reasons, to wear flip-flops while riding a bike, especially in any traffic involving cars. It is far too easy to get your flip-flops, and subsequently, your feet, tangled up in the pedals in an emergency situation, or in a dangerous situation...
Let's start a new campus safety practice, in her honor, of not wearing flip-flops while riding a bike, ok?
