Student Media is set to become an entity independent of CSU, following a unanimous vote of the Board of Governors Tuesday afternoon.

Hey come on we owe Mr. Montoya the benefit of the doubt. Let's give him a shot before we condemn.
If it sucks after a while with his leadership then it will be appropriate to ridicule the paper.

Does this action of consolidation make it more or less likely that the Collegian and/or KCSU could be sold to another "non-profit" organization (such as another public radio entity in Colorado)?
Has at least one independent appraisal been conducted over the last 18 months to determine the monetary value of The Collegian and KCSU?
Has an appraisal been conducted to determine the potential value of the Collegian and KCSU with an expanded readership and listener base (increased distribution of the Collegian, and technical/ signal improvements for KCSU are both possible)?
Why do these type of executive decisions always seem to occur when most students are away for the summer?
