I think McSwane is a juvenile idiot , but this is not cool to borrow Jenna's venachular. I am ex military and I would urge this mental midget to get a grip. Have you noticed that all these weasels do this from a phone or behind the keyboard. Threatening people is as stupid as McSwane's comments.
Howver Mr. Mcswane better realize that speech has consequences. In a free country people are free to say anything and get violent if they want. Is it right. NO! Is it reality. Yes!
Tell a Hell's Angel to Fuck America and you will probably end up in the hospital. Call a black man in south central Los Angeles the N word and kiss your teeth goodbye.
Let's not forget that if Mr. McSwane had not done this idiotic thing there would be no threat. Free speech has consequences.
And finally to Mr. Mcswane. It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool , then to open it and remove all doubt.

You ultra-conservatives have reached a new low. Not only do you attempt to destroy a brave man's career for enlightening us on our rights, but now you threaten to do him harm? But then, the threat of physical harm has always been your answerr to those who disagree with you. Because of our global threats, I can see wars looming in the near future against Russia, North Korea, and Iran. George Bush is not the colossus with his legs spread over the world holding dominion over all those below him. Bush is just a regular person who has a relativly low IQ and speaks English worse than Fidel Castro. The issue is that he has at his beck and call the most powerful military on Earth.
And how dare you compare McSwane's act with "Tell[ing] a Hell's Angel to Fuck America" or "Call[ing] a black man in south central Los Angeles the N word". How on Earth does a leagal protest against a man who oppresses both the common American and our global neighbors to some unpatriotic or even racist remark.
I understand how you could see the connection between McSwane's comment and the "Fuck America" remark. In your eyes as well as those of many conservatives, questioning the leadership is about the worst thing that a man can do in his lifetime. I thank God that our founding fathers had none of your ilk among their numbers or we might not even have this country in which you spread your idiocy. I can't believe that you don't fully condemn this terrorism: "Free speech has consequences". This man expressed his mind and you have every right to disagree (I believe that it's protected under Free Speech) but to suggest for a moment a death threat is justified is just disgusting.
As for the connection between the N word with "F**k Bush", you have a better imagination that I do. I don't know how that one connects.

I'm not going to argue with you because you have your option and I have mine. I do feel that your fellow student was way off base and he should loose his job. Also in your world (around campus) I'm sure there's a lot of support for him but in the eye of the country he didn't help your school much. Regards, John

It's nice to see that some conservatives can respectfully disagree. I wish they all were like you; you acknowledge that you disagree with my opinion without saying "give this kid some kleenex" or "keep drinking kool-aid". I thank you for not dismissing us as children and therefore, unimportant.
It really is a shame that this article has hurt this school's identity across the country. I watch the national news coverage and realize that they simply don't understand. They believe that the article's title is just some kid expressing his inability to change anything (crying over spilt milk) when it is, in reality, a young adult working through non-conventional means to bring the threat to our rights to the forefront of the American mindset.

Sean Greene you are the big hypacrite. Didn't your own NewsPaper editor do the same to Mr. Buch. Someone get this kid a kleenex.
Mr David McSwane is a chump indeed.
I think he should give back all the goverment grant money that he accept under the Bush Administration to pay for education

Of course he didn't do that to Mr. Bush (you misspelt his name by the way, good job). McSwane never threatened Bush with physical harm of any sort you moron. My God, the conservatives are getting dumber by the second. Please don't make a post if you have absolutly no idea what's going on.

So the first act of right wing terrorism has already started. They need to arrest this person very publicly and show them on the news too. This is just the Republidramaqueens being little terrorist wussies. I wonder if they have caller ID on this moron. Remember if someone makes a threat to hang up and dial *57 and follow the instructions, even blocked lines can be traced instantly. Hope you go to jail for this you wimp.
