CSU sends firework warning to students

"If we see injuries, they are really significant"

1) Back home, me and other kids in the neighborhood shot off a LOT of fireworks over the years - only a couple burned fingertips. That's what happens when parents are actually watching instead of just drinking.

2) Of course the injuries are going to be significant. That is true of ALL ER patients, I suspect (You go in when you've nearly severed your arm, not for a paper cut). Besides, couldn't having a burn-related injury on the 4th just invite self-incrimination? I wouldn't go in either.
