According to the Denver Business Journal, President Obama will keep all of his Colorado campaign ads off air for the rest of the week, as will Mitt Romney, out of respect for the victims of the Aurora shootings early Friday morning.

This has not stopped the wave of vicious advertisements and campaigning across the rest of the West Coast. According to an Associated Press article, this morning

President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney found enough distance from a national tragedy to get back to the politics of getting elected.

Both candidates will be addressing voters and donors over the next week, but Colorado will receive a welcome break from political advertising.
