[UPDATE]
The High Park fire has now grown to 5,000 acres with zero percent containment.
In addition to the existing evacuation orders, new evacuations have been ordered for the area between County Road 27 East and Stove Prairie Road, and south through the entire Rist Canyon area. This includes Davis Ranch Road, Whale Rock Road and south on County Road 44 three miles north of Stringtown Gulch Road.
The number of confirmed damaged structures has now grown to 10. The types of structures are as yet unknown.
The High Park fire has now grown to between 2,000 and 3,000 acres in size. High winds and dry conditions are fueling the flames and the fires rapid spread is causing new evacuations to be ordered by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
Multiple fire crews are on scene and continue to respond using land and air vehicles including nine air tankers, four helicopters, an Air Attack Command plane and a Lead plane.
